Today is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day! Many people have never heard of Neurofibromatosis...have you? NF affects 1 in 2500 Australians and causes tumours to grow on the nerve cells. There is no cure and effective treatment options are limited. This is a photo of Emme, fellow ambassador Jake and myself. Since this photo was taken 3 year old Emme has started a gruelling 12 month chemotherapy protocol. See the following photos to see Emme's journey so far. Everyone who loves her hopes that it will stall the growth of her inoperable brainstem tumour, while also knowing it’s not an effective treatment. Help Emme and children like her by raising awareness for NF, so that funding can be directed into research and better treatment options, and for hope for families like Emme’s. #cupidsundierun#neurofibromatosis#nf#neurofibromatosisawareness#childrenstumourfoundation#awareness#charity#support#helpothers#raiseawareness
"I already know what giving up feels like, I want to see what happens if I don't" 💪🏼✨ I have made some pretty big changes in my life these past couple of months. Diet, most importantly lifestyle. Diet and lifestyle are huge because if you don't have a healthy lifestyle let's be honest you can't have a healthy diet. For years I would have a wine or two in the afternoons to unwind, now I have swapped that with gym. I don't wish my weekdays away anymore so I can "get drunk" on the weekends. I look forward to everyday and working out! I had my first drop of alcohol this weekend for the first time in 5 weeks and as much as I had a good night my body hated me for it the next day. I have lost 5kg but put on a hell a lot of muscle too! I am sleeping better now. I am waking up more refreshed. I have a clearer vision of my life now and am so thankful that I am on the path I am on. I have gone Vegan aswell, I am Ceoliac too so it does make my food choices limited but I no longer feel sick or bloated anymore after having dairy products or meat. Cheese was definitely my weakness and now I'm not even missing it at all (thank god for vegan cheese though 😜). I decided to go vegan as my sister has been now for a year and the changes physically and mentally are astonishing and now I know why because only just 2 months in I am feeling better than I have in a very long time! I am going to continue on this journey and put up a before and after photo in the coming months and talk about how I am feeling better physically but more importantly mentally! It's so important to just focus on each day and the progress will come as long as you stay commited to your routine! I have just started using @built_sports_nutrition to help give me that extra energy of a early morning or afternoon after a long day of work and it is amazing! 💃 I am slowly getting my abs back! A long way to go but it's all about progression no matter how long it takes! 💪🏼 #fitness#fitnessmotivation
One of the most important things in life is looking after yourself. Knowing when you need to listen to your body and your mind. Learning what makes you happy and what makes you sad and being able to eliminate the negative things in your life that you become used to. I became one of those people that only lived for the weekend and wished days away just so the weekend could come and I could socialise and drink etc, it was an ongoing and unhealthy cycle. I have recently promised myself a healthy change. I am seeing an amazing naturopath who is helping me put my health first, I am not drinking any alcohol this month which is actually a big thing for me because it has become such a normal daily habit for me (for years), I am eating cleaner, meditating now and envisioning the person I want to be but have put off because I have lived my life in fear. I feel great! And I know that as time goes on I am only going to feel better! Diet is definitely my main weakness and I am looking forward to turning that around and repairing my gut from all the toxins I have put into it without realising what it has done to me as a person and my mental health. I just wanted to share this cause i know there's probably quite a few of you out there that find it hard to break a bad habit but you can do it! I believe in you, you just need to believe in yourself! It's so important to not wish away our lives because of stress in it, we need to deal with that stress and learn to love ourselves and the lives we live. We create our own path! Yes sometimes the cards we get dealt can be cruel but you, and only you can decide where your path will lead you. Love to everyone reading this and I hope this inspired someone who can relate to this. ❤️✨😘 #findyourself#loveyourself#healthy#cleaneating#healthybody#healthymind#happybodyhappymind#badhabits#overcome#inspire#youcandoit#beabetteryou#inspireothers#positivethinking
Absolutely love using Xenevar! I have just started using it this week to help give me more energy as I'm usually quite fatigue and tired especially in the mornings. It helps with your digestion and nutrient transport and releases stored fat and helps your metabolism. It has heaps of natural ingredients in it too so it's not bad for you unlike a lot of other products out there. I only need one a day as I can't handle too much caffeine but really depends on your tolerance. Will keep you guys posted on my fitness journey ❤️💪🏼😘 @victorylabs @armada_nutrition @stevenhinesarmedandready #victorylabs#xenevar#fitness#delicious#motivation#myfitnessjourney#healthyeating#exercise#healthychoices#camo#fitnessmotivation
I used to hate my curves because I put on 20kg in less than a few years and wasn't used to them as my whole life I was quite thin and when I was thin I thought I wasn't. I thought I was "fat" and always put myself down for the way I looked. Instead of choosing healthy lifestyle choices I went the opposite way because it was "easier" to deal with then actually doing something about it. I have learnt to love myself for who I am and who I have become. I have learnt so much about myself and I am so glad I have gone through all that I have because I am such a stronger person now and can easily relate to others going through a similar thing. I am starting my health journey to become stronger mentally but also physically too as I havn't treated my body the best over the years. Being ceoliac affected me a lot aswell growing up and it wasn't until I found out and changed my diet that my mental health and physical health improved drastically! That is why I think it's so important to listen to your body and if your reacting to certain foods or even alcohol/coffee etc then it's your body telling you something and you need to make some changes! I am doing Dry April this month to prove to myself that I don't need alcohol after a long day, or to enjoy my weekend. I am looking forward to seeing the health benefits at the end of this month. I also have not eaten any meat since February besides Seafood and am already feeling less bloated daily aswell. We are all different human beings and we have different blood types and some foods our stomachs can't digest aswell as others. My blood type is AB Negative and it's so interesting to read about what you should and shouldn't have in your diet! I am sharing this because I am hoping that someone else reads this and it can help them if they have been struggling with poor life choices or also is making changes be a healthier version of themselves! The most important thing is to look after your body, but more importantly is your mind.
In love with @ecotan 😍😍😍 I have been using Eco Tan products for the past year now and I am in love with their range! I have really sensitive skin so I can't use products that aren't natural and organic as usually I will break out in rashes. So I have been using Ecotan and use the cleansing foam to cleanse my body and the Himalayan salt scrub to exfoliate while leaving my skin smooth as there is coconut oil in there 😍 Then I use the Coconut Body Milk which is amazing as it keeps my skin fresh and soft and I don't get any skin irrations. I highly recommend this brand to anyone who has skin allergies or sensitive skin and also to everyone else because these products are amazing! ✨✨✨ @ecobysonya #organic#natural#ecotan#ecobysonyadriver#skin#skincareroutine#amazing#himalayansalt#coconutmilk#lemongrass#smellsgood#fresh
I promised myself that I am going to dedicate myself to becoming a healthier person this year. I will exercise more, eat better, and also most importantly do more yoga and meditate to be more in tune with the universe. I am already feeling so much better physically and mentally after just two weeks of eating healthier and exercising every day even if it's just for 30 minutes. Sometimes life can get in the way of chasing your goals, but never give up and always make time for yourself because you only have one life and it is so important to make the most of everyday. I am so glad I have joined the @thecollectiveelite 8 week challenge which is such an amazing challenge to get fit and was free aswell! This is keeping me driven and focused!
