I liked Heavenly Bodies a lot more than I expected I would... can’t resist a little aesthetic excess ✨
Some truly bonkers stuff at “Towards A Concrete Utopia”, architecture in Yugoslavia 1948 - 1980 @themuseumofmodernart. Especially loved Miodrag Živković’s monument designs
Last night via @sxrvxve I curated a video art display for Homesick Texans for Beto, a fundraiser for exciting Texas candidate @betoorourke. The event was so much fun and the artists’ work looked incredible ⚡️ if you want to support beto’s progressive campaign to beat @sentedcruz in November, smash that bio link 🤗
ONE WEEK BUDDIES. Can’t wait to party Texan style at @maydayspace with my @sxrvxve friends and fundraise for fantastic candidate @betoorourke. Come thru for video art, queso, great Texas beer/cider, raffles, games, music, Texas shit y’all ❤️
💙⚡️🌍✨ i truly love sum worlds fair action
happy wedding anniversary to my #1 stans Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald, married in 1900. Their relationship, beyond a marriage, was an incredible creative collaboration. This is their contribution to the 1902 Turin international exhibition.
Lucky to catch the last day of @mel.chin’s @queensmuseum & @nolongerempty retrospective yesterday, including a great closing exhibition tour with Chin. Here’s Chin with his bamboo daisy cutter bomb
The @royalacademyarts summer exhibition ends next week and it’s my favorite place to see a work by @jimclarkee next to a marina abramović
‘My name is lettie eggsyrub’ by @heatherphillipson @artontheunderground ✨🍳
goodnight from the baddest bitch in Tate Britain - Margaret, Duchess of Argyll by Gerald Brockhurst
Off The Wall at @nationalportraitgallery is really great - so much more interrogative and nuanced than I expected, with a great range of interesting works and artists. The best piece, I think, is Dan Mihaltianu’s exploration of newly post-Communist Budapest’s reaction to Michael Jackson’s high-Capitalist extravaganza. Faces from Romanian newspapers meet Jackson’s Dangerous Tour concert masks, and the accompanying video of fans at his show in Bucharest is truly stunning.
soothed my post-London sadness today with @charmainebee at @fivemyles
Appropriate for my last night as foreign scum in London. Camden Poster Workshop from the late 60s at @tatebritainlondon #tatelate with @nhorgan ✌️ [bye ldn 😩]
The @geffryemuseum being closed until 2020 has been a bummer but their halcyonic summer pop up in their museum garden almost makes up for it
@hunterwreynolds at @halesgallery is really wonderful and lovely and heartbreaking at times. It closes on Saturday and it’s worth catching
hi. 🌫 Lee Ufan at @serpentineuk 🌫
Frida Escobedo for the Serpentine Pavilion 2018 🖤 Mexican arquitectas represent 💫
Alex Prager at @thephotographersgallery is so good and unnerving and cinematic
