[happy saturday] ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Do something this weekend that get you outside of your comfort zone. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Growth is painful. Change is painful. But, nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong. 🖤
[truth]⠀ .⠀ .⠀ You will never accomplish what you are capable of if you are in constant worry about what others think! —>>So, WHO CARES! ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I can’t tell you how liberating it is to let go of things/feelings/thoughts that really just don’t matter. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ You do what you have to do to better yourself+achieve your goals. Stop obsessing! ✌🏽
[planning] ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I really believe that having daily rituals+habits keep me in line. If I have control of the beginning+the end of my day, I know I will be able to win the day no matter what. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I’ve been spending quite a bit of time on my computer+in my planner recently. Doing this makes me realize how off track I’d be without my calendar+intentionally planning my time.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Last month, I started differentiating my to-do list (aka: things that will get done no matter what, like the grocery) with my success-list (aka: the list of things I need to do today to get me closer to achieving goals) —>>highly recommend The One Thing if you’re into personal development/entrepreneurship/growing a business.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Doing this consistently helps me to visually see them both+be able to plug time into my calendar. I always re-evaluate on Sunday’s. ⠀ ⠀ How are you intentional with your time?! ✨⠀
[iced coffee]⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I know some of you may cringe, but I like iced coffee better than hot. There, I said it. I don’t drink coffee much, maybe 2x a week, and guess what, it’s decaf. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ My typical order @spencersbg is: iced decaf americano with a tiny bit of honey+cinnamon. No almond milk or anything! It’s perfection. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ My at home go to is basically the same except I add a little @nutpods+whatever homemade milk I have on hand+tiny bit of pure maple syrup (mixes better than honey in cold)+cinnamon. 🖤⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Are you on team hot or iced?!

[date]⠀ .⠀ .⠀ It’s not a rare occasion for us to go on a date, in fact we have a weekly lunch/coffee date set in stone. It’s on our calendar every single week.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ This week we traded that to head to Nashville for the ultimate low-key date day, IMO. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Our line up for the day included: ⠀ ⠀ ▫️ a stop to load up on more @thepeachtruck peaches 🍑⠀ ⠀ ▫️ @juicebargreenhills to fuel up for the day ahead. I got my fav, the chocolate bowl, TEB opted for the aloha bowl. Both were 👌🏽⠀ ⠀ ▫️ @nashvillenordstrom for some light browsing (his idea) 🤷🏽‍♀️⠀ ⠀ ▫️ @traderjoes and @wholefoodsnashville to stock up on some necessities (pro tip: always bring a cooler) ⠀ ⠀ ▫️ @lululemon, because we both had our eyes on a few things, so this stop was a must ⠀ ⠀ ▫️ @shopnativeandnomad to browse around and @revelatorcoffee right next door, which had my kinda vibes going on. All white+green everywhere 👏🏽⠀ ⠀ ▫️ last up, one of our favs in Nashville with farm to table ingredients, @oaksteaknash. They have the best truffle fries+brussels sprouts in all of Tennessee. I always like to pair that with a light salad.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ All of that to say, take the time to date your husband/wife. It doesn’t have to be extravagant. Typically, for us this looks like a trip to our fav local coffee shop, @spencersbg and whatever we are feeling for lunch+athleisure wear, always.⠀ ⠀  We love any opportunity to celebrate life+love+all the things so we make a point to invest a little time into each other every single week. I promise you won’t regret doing this! Pencil each other in.🖤

[explore]⠀ .⠀ .⠀ We recently visited the trails+butterfly habitat @lostrivercave, and it was the absolute perfect day with my boys! ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ It’s so refreshing to get outside, and disconnect+explore your own city. It was also a great cardio sesh! We can’t wait to go back very soon! 🖤

While I think meditation is great, it’s not realistic or natural to everyone! ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ We get so caught up in going, going, going, we don’t stop to take it all in+settle our minds. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ My favorite way to just chill the f out for a min: ⠀ ⠀ ▫️inhale for 8 seconds ⠀ ▫️hold it in for 2 seconds ⠀ ▫️exhale for 5 seconds ⠀ ▫️repeat 5x⠀ ⠀ Benefits of deep breathing: ⠀ ⠀ ▫️releases toxins ⠀ ▫️releases tension ⠀ ▫️improves blood flow ⠀ ▫️elevates mood ⠀ ▫️lowers stress⠀ ▫️alleviates negative emotions

[safe storage] ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I’m so over plastic. I’m tired of it being everywhere+tired of it being used ONCE and tossed. It’s ridiculous. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Here are some of my absolute favorite alternatives to plastic storage bags. Your small choices like this do add up. Just google it, it’s truly sickening how much plastic is one and done daily. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ ▫️ @beeswrap is great for things you would use plastic wrap on. Maybe saving a piece of fruit, avocado, or sandwich. Washable+reusable+sustainable.⠀ ⠀ ▫️ @ifyoucare_usa paper snack+sandwich bags. So many uses+environmentally friendly. ⠀ ⠀ ▫️ @rezipofficial leakproof+reusable+washable storage bags. For things where a seal is a must. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Strive to replace all of your plastic bags+straws+cups etc. It will be good for you+the environment. And if you do use plastic, recycle! ♻️

But sometimes, when I’m feeling a little extra I like to use this @herbivorebotanicals Jasmine body oil mixed with my body lotion. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ It smells HEAVENLY. @herbivorebotanicals is a natural beauty line that I trust. I have several of their products and they are so nice+I love the packaging (simple+clean). ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ This oil is for glowing hydration, and it does just that with a side of a pretty jasmine aroma.
[finding beauty in every day]⠀ .⠀ . ⠀ There are so many beautiful things we have to be thankful for every single day, no matter your circumstances. (Life+breath+experiences+growth+family+health) ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Have you tried waking up with a grateful heart instead of waking up with a negative attitude?! It will change your life. For the next few weeks, shift your negative thoughts to positive ones as soon as they come into your head. Think about the things in your life that bring you the most joy, then think those thoughts. You’ll still have to deal with whatever is triggering the negativity, but putting your mind in a better place will make it so much easier. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ These (HUGE) hydrangeas from my yard bring me joy+happiness. It’s the little things like this+gratitude that can brighten your day!
