sometimes it really baffles me when people say they admire my strength. I suppose this is because I’ve felt so many things in such concentrated doses- none of which you’d immediately file under “strong”. One April evening comes to mind: My skin had not long turned from bad cystic acne into what-the hell-even-is-this. It was more painful and inflamed than I knew was possible and no medical professional was able to shed any light onto it or offer anything that helped. The sudden onset had left me with the very real fear that it would continue to dramatically worsen. The panic I felt from having your body doing things out of your control was constant and deafening. I sat on my floor with a face full of plasters and a head full of dread, and decided, (at 7pm), that I’d paint my orange walls white. I like to do things when everything feels messy because it creates the illusion of control and I quickly fell into the rhythm of painting, broken only when opening cans of decent cider and not so decent lager. Trying to erase orange with the kind of cheap white paint barely opaque enough to cover a blank sheet, I quickly got lost in a repetitive act of doing where neither acne nor anxiety exists. By 2am I’d ran out of both drink and paint and sat hunched on a stepladder evaluating the predicament; my walls were still orange and my face still hurt (and I’d be sleeping on the sofa that night.) . I have a hard time aligning with “strong” when I felt nothing of the sort for a while and have all these lived experiences of impulsively redecorating, crying in toilet cubicles on lunch breaks, and covering mirrors with towels. I still have cystic acne, I still experience anxiety, but my walls are now very white and I haven’t felt the need to change that in a while. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #acne#cysticacne#severeacne#adultacne#acnestory#acnecommunity#acnepositivity#acneskin#acnetreatment#acnehelp#skinpositivity#skinspiration
🌻Banobagi Vita Cocktail Aqua Foil Mask🌻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔎 30 ml of essence. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❓A foil sheet mask that contains vita cocktail and hydrolyzed collagen to intensly moisturize the skin. The foil sheet prevents the essence from evaporating and keeps the mask moists. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚱️Half-circle packaging. The packaging feels thick and expensive. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💦 The texture of the essence is definitely more on thicker side. The mask itself is bright blue foil on one side and thick cotton on the other side. I don’t expect it to be bright blue, so it’s a nice surprise when I opened it! The mask itself has 2 parts: the top part and bottom part. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🍃 I just gotta be honest: I don’t like the scent, at all. It reminds me of the hand soap in the public toilet. Also that first smell when you walk into a hospital. Yeah, not something I want to smell when I try to relax 😩 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Review: This is the first foil mask I’ve tried. I was so excited because cotton sheet mask can be boring, right?! The foil side is not hard as I expected but rather flimsy. The cotton side is thick so it’s hard to smooth out the wrinkles. When I put the mask on, it feels warm like a blanket, almost feels heavy on my face. I assume it might because of the foil. After I take it off, my skin feels tacky. I don’t feel the essence sinking into the skin, it just sits on top. The foil doesn’t allow the essence sink in. In the morning my skin also looks really greasy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I recommend this mask for people who have combination to dry skin. For oily skin gals like me, it might be too heavy and greasy. The essence itself is fine, but the foil as a mask is just too much for my skin right now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⬇️ Ingredients list on the comment below! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #banobagi#sheetmask#mask#skincare#kbeauty

I get the question "What kind of lasers do you do?" a lot so I'll answer it here 😍😍 1. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) @swissobeauty 2. Skin conditioning laser 3. LHR (Laser Hair Removal) @ipromedical ------------------------------------------------ Both 1 and 2 focus more on oil control, reducing pore size, scars etc. LHR is literally what its name says it is but PERSONALLY it has helped my scars fade and I also notice I get less active pimples (that's after dealing with a breakout everytime for the first few sessions 😱 but not anymore. My sister who is not acne prone also had breakouts too. I was told this happens and there's nothing wrong) ---------------------------------------------- To answer my question of how laser helps 👉👉👉👉 The presence of hair can create a “harbor” for acne bacterium that makes them more resistant to washing and cleaning agents. 😅 Also, oily skin can be harder to treat on hairy body areas, which makes acne more likely to form. Moreover, ingrown hair can also facilitate the growth of acne bacteria and increase inflammation 😱. 🚫🚫🚫 But I've read that lasers MIGHT NOT BE SUITABLE for people with #pcos so please consult your doctor before considering lasers!!
Im back so today I’ve been told my face looks really white or that I look pale anyways. My pimples looks maybe the same and school is in like a week and my face isn’t to the point where I’m okay with it. I have to do a bunch of things omgg. But I got to be positive let’s see how that goes knowing I’m a negative person 💀any ways my question to you is what is your favorite product that actually has done wonders for you ? #isotretinoin#acne#skin#acnecommunity#nomakeup
(Swipe for part 2!) Taste testing the new @vitalproteins mocha collagen creamer?! Yasss pls! I was so excited when I heard they came out with ANOTHER way to take collagen (cause let’s be honest I’m not perfect and sometimes I forget) ! But now, with a larger variety of ways to include it, I feel more prepared than ever lol #noexcuses . I truly believe that taking collagen everyday has helped my hair, skin, and nails in a way that no other diet/supp/ or vitamin ever has! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with brittle, flaky hair and nails or if you’re just looking for that lit-from-within glow. Watch the video above to find out if the new mocha flavor is a hit or a miss 😋 #vitalproteinspartner#vpfam
