it has become second nature to listen to that rotten voice inside my head that tells me I’m not good enough. The voice that suffocates me with fear. Fear of abandonment; fear of failure; fear of not being good enough. music is therapeutic for me (as I’m sure rings true for you all too). For me? Creating is my safe place. i want you to know that you’re not alone in your suffering. You don’t have to suffer anymore. Find your escape. Find the thing inside yourself that makes you feel good about who you are. Cherish it, protect it, & disregard anyone who tries to take it from you. it’s time to clean house. Douse that bad neighborhood inside your head in gasoline and watch that motherfucker burn. you are a Phoenix, born to rise from the ashes🌑📸| @_aubriecasey
Can I share something real quick that has absolutely nothing to do with this photo? Lol . • • • I feel we all fall into the trap of taking most of what we see on social media at face value. We also naturally tend to compare our lives to others and allow people’s highlights amplify our low points. We have to remember that EVERYTHING IS NOT ALWAYS WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE! What people show you on social media doesn’t always correlate with every moment of their life in between a post. Someone can post the mushiest video with their significant other while behind closed doors, the relationship is suffering. Someone can consistently post the jolliest photos while really feeling depressed and alone, and that girl/guy that seems perfect and most desirable prob has the driest phone in the land and worse personality lol. I say that to say, though social media is an amazing tool, we should keep in mind that it’s also a virtual reality anyone can warp to fit their desires. • Photo cred: @koolestkeith
