Double salsa double the deliciousness 😁 Salmon patties are made using fresh salmon fillet (250-300g remove skin & diced) with 1/2 cup panko (or any dry breadcrumbs), 1 egg, zest of 1 lemon, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp italian seasoning (or herbs de provence), 1 tbsp julienned fresh mint, 1/2 tsp sweet paprika, 1/2 tsp salt & 1/4 tsp pepper. I don’t actually measure out the ingredients. If the salmon mixture is too wet, add more panko till u can make patties out of the salmon mixture easily. Make 2 big patties or 4 small patties, depending on the size of buns u bought. U can cook a small teaspoon of the salmon mixture to taste if it is well seasoned but I didn’t bother with that. Grill the patties over hot griddle pan or pan fry them in hot frying pan. Cooking time depends on the thickness of each patty about 5-7min per side. They are done when the internal temperature is above 60C. I don’t measure the ingredients but I measure the temperature of the cooked patties. Hahahaha. Be adventurous with the seasonings, try different dried herbs, fresh herbs & spices. I kinda follow the big picture of a recipe and make it my own. As for the salsa, all u need is lime or lemon juice, garlic, onions, cilantro, hot sauce, salt & pepper... mix & taste if u like the taste, it’s good enough. You can use ready-made ones too. Cooking is a time to relax & have fun in the kitchen. It’s totally fine to cheat a little here & there. There is really no point slaving & killing yourself in the kitchen. Life is hard enough. Ohhh and toast the buns before assembling your burgers. Take a picture before you dive into these burgers or heck the picture & savour them right away.
