Today's #bee photo post in support of the @beesponsible campaign w/ @NationalWildlife @DMizejewski I believe it is another honey bee enjoying the pollen on this Southwestern Pricklypoppy. #dontkillmybuzz
So yesterday we recorded an interview with National Wildlife Federation naturalist David Mizejewski about how we can all help save bees. Along with planting native plants and joining their Gardening for Wildlife campaign, he told us that Beesponsible will donate $1 (up to $100K) to NWF for every social media post folks do with the hashtag #dontkillmybuzz and tag @beesponsible. So, I'm going to start posting my photos of bees to learn more about them, and help them get the $100K! Now I thought this little buzzer I saw at Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge last year was a bee because of its body shape. Nope, true to its fly wings, I just learned that it's a bee-fly, and a crucial pollinator for our summer flowers here in southern Arizona.
When @thefreshmarket in town is closing, you stock up on everything💛🧡 This fruit salad is the perfect refreshing treat for a hot summer day🌞 Here’s an easy trick to peeling peaches & nectarines : make an X shape incision in the bottom of the fruit, bring a large pot of water to a boil, place the peaches/nectarines in the boiling water for 30 sec, use a slotted spoon to transfer to a bowl of ice water, and then the skin should peel right off!🍑 ——————————————————————————— diced mangos + diced white nectarines + @dardimans crispy mandarin slices + Bee Harmony regional raw south east honey + cinnamon 🍯🐝
