I know what it’s like to be scared to try something new, to do something that is out of your character. If you told me a year ago I would have trained and competed in a bikini competition, I would have laughed in your face. Add in the fact that I placed, I would have thought you were trippin. . So much can change in a year. I was very hesitant with doing a show and telling people about it. It took me months to be honest about it because I wasn’t sure I had what it took and didn’t want to fail in front of everyone. . What prepping for this taught me is that you need to take chances - on yourself, your life, and in any situation you are in. I have learned so much about myself and am continuing to grow into the women I now know I want to be, and I haven’t felt this happy in a long time! . I have become a positive, confident woman and never in a million years would I have pictured my life to be going the way it is. But sometimes you have to take life and what it throws at you, and make the best out of every situation! . If you are questioning something in your life, whether your not sure if it’s the right choice, or worried about what people think, its OKAY. Close your eyes and go for it! Don’t let others opinions affect the way you live your life and don’t worry about the outcome. Take the chances and know whatever the outcome will be you will learn and grow as a person from it!

Throwback to the patchy Oompa Loompa tan and some tips to keep you on track 👇🏽 - I’m a girl who loves to have a plan and a routine. I feel like now more than ever, I need structure to ensure I’m heading in the direction I want to be going in. - This year has been insane with school/prep/work! Now juggling a couple jobs makes it tough to fit in the workouts I want, along with sleep, eating right, and having that foreign thing called a social life 😂 But I do have a few tips that have helped me to be successful and *mostly* stay on track whether it be with my workouts, proper nutrition, or just life in general: 1️⃣ Always have a plan! This has served me so well. I like to plan out my weeks in advance, right down to the meals I’m going to be eating, when I’ll be hitting the gym and even what I’m wearing to work/school that week 😂 I usually do this on a Sunday and it involves a lot of mental notes, paper notes (because I love stationary) and reminders with alerts in my calendar so I don’t miss a thing. 2️⃣ Write anything that you need to do down and then set reminders for yourself. I really utilize the calendar app in my phone and I set two alerts for all events so I don’t forget anything. My mind can be like Dory 😂🐟 3️⃣ Schedule in “me” time. This is SO important! My favourite way to relax is in the morning with breakfast and a big cup of coffee. 30 minutes to just veg out allows me to start my off day right. I actually get up a little earlier so I have time to do this! You’re never too busy for yourself and you NEED to make you a priority. 4️⃣ Be prepared for things to not go according to plan. No matter how much you plan in life, things don’t always go how you’ve imagined it. Have a backup, and don’t sweat when you end up a little off course. You’ll always find your way back. Fall back on your structure - your “basic training,” and you can easily turn a speed bump into open roads. Disclaimer: I am not
Client Progress💪🏼 - You can achieve anything you are willing to work for! Here is another one of my lifestyle clients who put in the work and completely transformed her body and mind. Jenna came to me seeking structure with her workouts and meals. She wanted to tighten up, get a more defined physique and learn how to eat to achieve those goals. - By altering her food intake and creating a program based on her body's individual strengths/weaknesses, here is 6 weeks worth of progress! - 🔹Yes, I coach competition clients but I also coach lifestyle clients for transformations like this. If you're looking to be confident and feel good for everyday life, I would love to create a plan to get the results you’re looking for. Reminiscing on during the overalls at #ncstatechampionships with all the 1st place winners of each class... unfortunately about 2 other women aren’t shown in this pic. I am loving and enjoying this off-season. Being able to focus on my family that is growing & creating a life outside of the gym and a deadline. It’s pretty liberating. I do love the sport though and am excited to do another one in the future, but for now I have a nephew that is well on his way and I’m about to gain another brother so for now I’m gonna live in the moment until I dust them heels off❤️
When you find the lighting that makes you look like you haven’t been eating your way through Jamaica 🇯🇲 🤪🤣💪➡️➡️➡️POST SHOW UPDATE: I haven’t stepped on a scale in forever it feels like and I probably won’t anytime soon (Gives me anxiety). Reverse dieting has always been a struggle but I believe in my coach and more importantly myself so it’s a work in progress.🤪Definitely not “lean” anymore but I have to tell myself that’s okay. You are still very strong and beautiful ☺️ Plus the 3 things I’ve gained make up for that.... 1) My Sanity.... 🙌 2) More time with my daughter 3) Body fat-I know competitors don’t like this one but I HATE being cold all the time on prep, It makes me very unhappy lol The season my be over but a new one has begun.... IMPROVEMENT SEASON WHATS UP???? 😎💪🤞😏 #improvementseason#trainharder#offseasonbody#bikini#bikinicompetitor#girlswholift#fitmom#liftheavy#loveyourself#believeinyourself
