As I am moving back to Stockholm in a week I arranged a little get-together Tuesday, to gather some of the fantastic people I’ve met in Copenhagen in the last year, and also drink great whiskey together! Thank you to everyone who showed up. I hope to see you soon! ❤️
There was a period in my life where drinking was a daily occurrence. I wouldn’t say I ever had a drinking problem, but I definitely had a problem with not drinking. That’s where all the fun was. That’s when I got to hang out with my friends. That’s when I could let the shy young dude inside loose and go crazy. This just sounds soooo insane to me now, but it wasn’t uncommon for me and my best friend at the time to go halves in a litre of vodka, a litre of whisky, 12 beers, finish it all, and THEN go to town. For about 3 years, the days I wouldn’t have drank at least 5 or 6 beers would have been fucking small. Today marks 900 days that I haven’t had alcohol in my life, and I’m actually really proud of that. I didn’t ‘give up’ alcohol, I don’t believe I was ever an ‘Addict’, I just believe I moved past a time where I found solace in alcohol. I grew past it, and no longer feel any need to consume it. I could go on for agesss about the wonderful benefits you can reap from giving up booze, from financial, to health; relationships, to spirituality. The only question I’ll ask is what are you using alcohol for? What are you covering up or coping with? I always thought it was to have fun. To chill. To have a hard earned beer after work. I’ve learned how to do all of those without poisoning myself, and my life experiences are far richer without it in my life. . . . . #sober#alcohol#booze#drunk#celebrating#soberaf#throwback#itme#lifestylechange#transformation#thenandnow#inspirational#motivation#alcoholfree#legit#mindsetcoach#businessstrategist#themodernboss#consciousbusiness#personalgrowth#growth#letsgrow#success#vegan#powerlifter#newzealand#drinkingculture#letsgetadrink

I was inspired by @thecocktail.blog’s recent post of a Window Seat variation to add a splash of @thebittertruthcompany violet liqueur to my gin and tonic. I used @hanaginusa, a lovely floral gin named for the Japanese word for flower 🌸 @qdrinks tonic water, and garnished with these three lovely little violets I found out back.
