HAPPY THURSDAY 😄 I had literally one of the best leg days I’ve ever had today. I pushed heavy weight and I hit it HARD. So I thought I’d share 😊 If you want to not feel your legs at the end of it, use weight that you struggle to get 6-8 reps out of. Squeeze and really focus on the contraction. 4 sets. 1️⃣ Abductors 🔺 Adductors 2️⃣ Leg extensions 🔺 Leg Curls 3️⃣ ATP Squats (or belt squat if your gym doesn’t have one) 🔺 Banded walks (I double up on Heavy & X-Heavy bands) some people don’t believe in bands and that’s OK! I don’t use them all the time, but I personally think that they do have their uses. 4️⃣ Calf raises on machine (pause & hold at top) 🔺 Low & narrow stance leg press 5️⃣ Walking lunges 🔺 Reverse lunge + high knee. Because I was lifting very heavy today, I wanted to end with some body weight. 6️⃣ STRETCH! Or your body will hate you even more 🤷🏼♀️ . . . Active recovery day! 20min treadmill at 1.0 incline and 3.2 speed, 20min bike, and 20min arc trainer. Using some low-impact cardio to stretch out my muscles to aid in blood flow, and therefore recovery. This helps alleviate muscle soreness and add a little extra calorie burn on a “rest” day from lifting.
