Happy Monday y’all! The Bible verse for today is, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9 ESV) Be alert. Because the enemy is always working. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion; the roaring implying with hunger and determination. Have you ever been really really hungry? So hungry that you get “hangry”? And there’s a difference between “wanting” to do or be something. But then there’s “determined” to be or do something. And the enemy is hungry and determined to try to steal, kill, and destroy your faith, your finances, your family, etc. The enemy is seeking who to come after next. Who is not on their toes. And even on their toes. But has given into temptation or sin. RESIST the devil, sin, his temptations, and lies! Stand firm in your faith. Firmly believing the truths and promises of God! And know that the word brotherhood refers to everyone around us. Knowing that you are NOT the only person who has gone through what you’re going through. You are not the first and not the last person that will experience it. And know that you are NEVER alone. . . . #devotion#devotional#bible#verse#verseoftheday#christian#christianmom#peter#faith#resist#bealert#christianmom#parents#family#monday#mondaymorning#instagood#instaverse#instapic
Not everyone will understand what you’re doing and that’s okay 👌🏻.. it’s not their journey to go on. And it’s not your job to try and make them get it 🤷🏻♀️. You do you and show them what you’re all about 🤸🏻♀️. Day 39/80 and feeling good to be back in my basement where my transformations take place ❤️. “Self Love is an ocean and your heart is a vessel. Make it full, and any excess will spill over into the lives of the people you hold dear. But you MUST come first.” -Beau Taplin ••• I feel so thankful for the time spent with my team this weekend. It takes intention to follow through with something for yourself but it’s worth every bit of effort. In order to make this trip happen, I needed my husbands help with taking full responsibilities of our babes and the household. I needed to save up to pay for it. I faced my fear of flying. I went outside of my comfort zone and stayed with people I didn’t know. And yet, I have such a full heart! We were filled with so much validation, affirmation, and belief that we are all leaving with a burning fire in our soul to keep on being our best and inspire others along the way. I cannot wait to wrap my arms around my family, and tell them all about the experience I had with my team💕💕 Until next year, INDY...
My sweet girl. I pray over you everyday. I pray that you follow the Lord. I pray that you stay on the good path. I pray for you to have wisdom and discernment. I pray that God protects your heart and gives you a fierce strength that's unstoppable. I pray that whatever goals you set for yourself in life, that you accomplish those. I pray for a hedge of protection to surround you during all of life's storms. I pray that you don't make the same mistakes I've made in life. I know you'll make your own mistakes, but I pray you learn from them. I pray that you love people well. Be kind, show empathy and compassion, even when you think you shouldn't. It's sometimes a struggle, but make the effort. You never know the battle people may be fighting. I'm going to miss these sweet mornings when I go back to work. Until then, these tender moments will be treasured. #abbagailreece#sleepybaby#milkcoma#christianwife#christianmom#greatestislove
We need to recognize that the Bible does not change according to the times and God doesn’t change. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8) If Jesus is always the same then so is God. Jesus was the son of God, a reflection of who God is, and if he doesn't change then we know his father doesn’t either. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, whom does not change, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17) God doesn’t change his mind like humans do. He doesn’t change. He knows what’s best for us and he is perfect in every way we can imagine. God is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. He’s our rock. And if God doesn’t change, then we know the Bible doesn’t either. The Bible is God’s words spoken through people, that he specifically chose, to pass his words onto Christians today. Peter even writes in the last verses of the entire Bible “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-21) Clearly God does not want his words twisted around. He doesn’t want a verse taken away or added in. Imagine the danger of Gods words being twisted around to fit what we want. It is very easy to do this. And I have come to see that people have begun to do this through modern-feminism. God clearly tells us the roles of men and women. When recording the book of Revelations, Peter didn’t clarify, “oh by the way the women work now, send their kids off to day care and public school and feel that cooking isn’t their forte. But God told me to tell you that that’s
Wow! What a whirlwind the last few days were for me! There is no way I can sum it up in one post. The whirlwind involved lots of driving, rain, thunder, friends, development, fitness, zoodles, energy, laughter, self-reflection, superfoods, excitement, nervousness, positive energy, and so much more! 😀 I had a blast and at the same time I am exhausted to start the week. One of my favorite topics to learn about was happiness. Shawn Achor, author of The Happiness Advantage, shared some amazing research-based insights on the science of happiness. No joke, the science! Who knew?! 😀 I cannot even begin to list everything he talked about (he talked fast!). I do want to share this insight and challenge with you today, as you start a new week. You can choose to be optimistic. It is proven that happiness leads to success rather than the opposite that we sometimes chase, success leading to happiness. Choose happiness today, friends! Choose happiness! 😀 #momof2#momoftwo#momswhowork#momswithmuscles#crocheter#crochetlover#activefamily#runningmom#runninglove#momgoals#workingmomlife#farmerswife#farmwife#christianmom#christianwoman#baseballfan#celiac#coeliac#glutenfreelife
. I am blessed. I am called. I am healed. I am whole. I am saved in Jesus’ name. - I stood in church yesterday singing those words, and I was hit with a huge wave of emotion and gratitude, because for the first time in my life I believe them. I used to sing lyrics like these as a desperate plea, but yesterday they were a victorious declaration of truth. - I AM blessed. I AM called. I AM healed. I AM WHOLE. I AM saved in Jesus’ name. - And guess what? SO ARE YOU. You are blessed and called and healed and whole through Jesus’ name. You are strong and you are worthy, because you were created in the image of your creator. You are not just enough, you are MORE than enough. - Do you believe that? Can you read those things and feel them ring true in the depths of your soul? Don’t start this week off believing lies. You are not lacking. You are whole.
