FRIENDS, I NEED YOUR HELP!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's been 3 years since Mike and I have lived in the same city full time, which means we've been living on takeout and eating at friends and family's houses during the week 😳😱 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As we transition back into a routine of living together, re-learning how to shut off work at a reasonable hour and cook at home (as well as tackle bungalow renovations), I'm looking for quick and easy dinner recipes! 🥘🍽 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I tried (what I thought would be a simple and easy) chicken alfredo crockpot recipe the other night, and well, I royally screwed it up. 😂😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Crockpots haven't really been my thing, but the effortless recipes that I can start during the day while I work is very appealing. 🙋🏼♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Of course, a friend gifted us a crockpot recipe book in the past, but that's buried in boxes at the moment 😩 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, if you have some favorite crockpot recipes - that are easy - please please please send them my way!!!! 🙏🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'll also take non-crockpot recipes, that just seemed like the most convenient style of cooking during the week as our nights will be spent tackling renos! 🔨
“The Sugar Coated Perks of being a Dandy” I need to make more of these! But our printer broke...so my collage materials are a little limited. Any advice on where to get cheap books/magazines to cut up (as much as I hate cutting books up)? Also, I think I’m going to put this in the Etsy shop.

💥When things are breaking and nothing is going according to plan, I think a lot of us are asking.. “Is Mercury retrograding!?!?”🤷♀️🤬 :: And no. Mercury is not in retrograde. That’s happening July 25. :: Mars will be next week. June 26th to be exact, until August 27th. :: 🤔What on earth does all of this mean tho? :: Mars brings procrastination so it’s time to get your shiznit in order before June 26th. The summer should be used to slow down/wrap up loose end projects, or else frustration will happen. :: Do you have a project you’ve started on, but have not completed? :: Have you put ‘project: lose a few pounds before summer’ on the back burner since BBQ season started? :: Do you want to partner or collaborate with someone, and have not made the ask? :: Retrogrades are not scary, if you go with the flow. Apparently Mars only goes retrograde about once in two years so really, it’s a nice summer to take it easy. And RIGHT NOW is the perfect time to get those duckies 🦆🦆🦆in a row! :: What project or collaboration do YOU want to work on? Share them with me in the comments. Not sure where to start? I can help 🙋 shoot me a message. I’m here to support you!
Growing up I remember believing women who worked weren’t as motherly, as faithful, or made as big of an impact on the world. A woman’s place is in the home. I believed. If a woman works, it’s because she has to. Bc she has no other choice. Four weeks after my son was born, I sat cross-legged on our bed, my newborn cooing in my lap, faced with two options: go back to work or let my husband struggle through a second job so we could pay the rent. I went back to work. I spent years feeling so much guilt and shame for being a working mother–but I was working because I “had to”. It was okay... because I had to. When I started to become really successful in my work, I felt even more guilt. I shouldn’t be enjoying it so much. I shouldn’t be working as many hours. I should be satisfied with “just enough.” I shouldn’t want more. In 2 weeks my husband gets his first paycheck in 4 years. For the first time in our 7 years of marriage, I won’t be working bc I have to. And yet, I’ve never *wanted to* more. I’m working because I want to–and because I believe from the bottom of my heart that this is the best choice for me and my family. If you work because you have to, you are not less faithful. You are not less motherly. You are not less important. If you work because you choose to, your work is not selfish. Your children are not suffering. Your life is not less meaningful. All women work. There is no “working women” and “stay-at-home women”. No great divide between those who are good and those who are not. We all have a purpose. A place. A divine reason for being here. Whatever that looks like for you, it matters. You matter. YOUR WORK matters. If you don’t mind sharing, I’d really love to hear what your experience has been like. Do you work? Stay at home? Do you feel guilty about working or animosity towards staying at home? How did you decide what was best for you? Are you still deciding? Follow up question (I just want
