Definition of Grace: Free and unmerited favour of God. Meaning I don’t need to do this before He gives me this, I don’t need to behave this way before I receive this from Him. He gives it to me freely, even when I feel I don’t deserve it. I don’t need to be perfect before He comes through for me cause He always will. 1 Corinthians 15:10 NLT ‘But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace’. * * * * * * * #grace #truth #thankful #abundantgrace #dailynuggets #nuggets #dailytruth #dailyword #reminder

PART 1:Psalms 37 vs 3-5: (just vs 3 today, got carried away) These three versus come with three promises and commands. We ❀ the promises, but sometimes forget (πŸ€”) the commands which accompany them. Let's look at these in turn together and see how God is asking us to be obedient to him through his living word. . . Through Psalms 37 vs 3 God encourages us to Trust him and choose to do good (In Hebrew good is 'Towb'; meaning to show kindness, to live in a moral upright way with honestly and cheerfulness, excelling in what God has called you to do). His command is to live in this way, and to trust him... with everything . The kind of trust (high in Hebrew is 'Batach', which means to have confidence, boldness and security in) is what I am going to call 'total' trust. The kind of trust that Moses had when God parted the red sea (Exodus 14 vs 13-23), like Elijah had when he called fire down from heaven (1 Kings 18 vs 30-39), the kind of trust that Jonah lacked when he ran from what God was calling him to do πŸ˜¬πŸŒŠπŸ‹ (Jonah 1)... There's no other way around it for me but to describe this kind of trust as total, all or nothing... 'You have no more control over the matter, no more say, no more leverage. It's in God's hands and it's up to him'... sort of approach. Real trust in God usually takes us, unfortunately, to a place where we realise there is no other option left for us to do this in our own strength, and then we finally, after a hard time of trying desperately, through own will to make something happen (or not), trust him... . However, God is calling us into that place of trust, before we try doing things in our own strength and make a mess of it (Proverbs 3 vs 5-6). Don't be like Jonah, but make the choice, before you are out of worldly options and find yourself metaphorically in the digestive systems of a large sea creature, to trust in God, put everything you need, desire, and dream of in his hands, before you need to! That's real trust. Give him control
