Internalized emotions are DEADLY! It can cause all manner of health issues or even make you to make a fatal decision. This morning I have a burden to talk about this - because people are hurting in silence X Research shows that one in four 18 to 34-year-olds feel that showing their emotions is a sign of weakness, compared with one in 10 people over the age of 55. Older adults are generally more resilient, with two-fifths of those in the over-55 category saying it has been longer than a year since they cried because of anxiety, or that they have never cried due to anxiety. In addition, according to a poll for the mental health issues, women are twice as likely to hide in the toilets at work if they feel anxious, and half of women turn to comfort eating to cope, compared with two-fifths of men. I have a free guide on how to cope with stress and anxiety. But let me tell you this - crying is a common and useful response to the problem. X So, when you find yourself crying - don’t hold back to be the ‘bionic woman’ or ‘macho’ man - it is therapeutic. X Then seek support from a close friend or a Counsellor or Coach! Remember - you can either learn to control your emotions or it will control you - in every area of your life! Decide to be emotionally intelligent. X I will be repeating the EMOTIONAL MASTERY CLASS I held in March by WhatsApp in June 3rd. I can only register a certain amount on WhatsApp! So key in early! 📌 link in bio ••• #relazioni#ascoltoattivo#empatia#experiencecoaching#svilupparerelazioni#sviluppoprofessionale#ascoltare#corecompetence#competenzedicoaching#competenzechiaveicf
We often try to escape from our feelings. We throw ourselves into work, we distract ourselves by watching TV or we try to forget by drinking a glass of wine. The thing is… you will never be able to escape what is inside your mind. Nonetheless, you are the master of it. You can work with your thoughts. Use them as signals that something is not right and work with this information. Escape is not a solution. Your emotions are not there to bring you down and hinder your growth. Your emotions are here for you.
