Tobemory Duck At Sunset There are very few things in the past few years that have given me such feelings of connectedness and peace like living and experiencing the changes nature goes through during sunrises and sunsets. I have had the pleasure to experience these daily phenomena over a wide variety of terrain, altitude; next to water, on the ocean, while viewing different kind of wildlife, with a clear sky, while the sky was textured with clouds, with mountains in the backdrops, on a mountain, in the desert, through smoke caused by wildfires. I have never experienced the same type of a sunset/sunrise, it never produced the same type of emotions. I guess over time I have learned to use this period in the day as my introspection and meditation time (not only photography time haha). As beautiful as these places have been , I can truly say that I have taken pieces of these places with me. What I mean by that is, that every day at sunrise or sunset , even while just existing in the city I get little snapshots of places that the sunset that is before my eyes reminds me of. Even if the view is polluted by the industrial nature of the city, some colours that I see, or cloud formations that I recognize take me back to places like the Tetons, or Yellowstone, or Croatia, or Banff ,or Tofino and I realize that I have an opportunity to travel , if not in flesh, in my mind once or twice a day and Mother Nature is picking the destination. I hope this image can send you to a place in your mind when you have had similar viewing experiences and awakens similar feelings you experienced back there. 📸:
Ashley. She has an insane vocabulary, boatloads of ideas, ambition, heart, a little sass, and experiences that leave you listening to stories of her world travels in awe. She may be one of the strangest cute humans I’ve ever met. She’s always there to support my craziest dreams and can think of a way to make them into a business + brand in minutes. Her fashion sense is a mix of vintage + chic and she always looks so on point (gf has so many jackets I think she could wear one a day and not repeat😂). She’s the only person I’ve ever met that bought thrifted jeans only to realize they were a children’s size when she brought them home... and she still rocked them💃🏻. She loves to come up with weird alliterations and picks on Teddy and I for how quiet we talk 👩🏻💻. I had so much fun showing her how beautiful her soul is through these pics. See more in stories🖤. | @ashleymmurry love you, friend!
