#inthemuckmonday. I want to talk about Amari Cooper. That’s it, tell me what y’all think cause to be frank idk wtf to do with him this year in fantasy. . ❌ My first thought was that I hated him... A terrible 2017, yet to see that explosion year everyone’s so sure I coming, Jon Gruden becomes HC who’s far from an offensive Jeffrey Dahmer (and given social media I honestly dk how players could even take this guy seriously in today's world), plus the additions of Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant... I'm thinking how could Amari Cooper POSSIBLY return value on his ADP of 41st overall, WR18? ✅ Then I dug deeper. Jon Gruden‘s come out and publicly stated that Cooper is going to be "the focal point", "the main vein" and the clear WR1 in this Oakland passing offense in 2018 multiple times already, and it’s only May. While Gruden's offenses historically haven't been anything spectacular, the WR1 in his offense has flourished. The avg fantasy WR1 under Gruden in his 7 years as HC in Tampa was WR13, & the absolute lowest finish was WR22. His last season in OAK as OC (2001 - as far back as my stats go), both Tim Brown & Jerry Rice finished as top 10 fantasy WRs. "I said it when he came out of Alabama, that he reminded me of a young Tim Brown," Gruden said. "He has that type of game speed. He's elusive, and has a wide range of routes he can run. He's flexible. It'll benefit him to stay healthy and stay in the same system for a few years. If he does that, great things are ahead." ✅ Cooper is still just 23 years old as of this post, so he's got plenty of time to bloom. Derek Carr said that Cooper was banged up during most of 2017, which I feel like has been the case every year, but would at least help explain what happened last szn szn. ❌ Swipe right and take a look at the Twitter poll (@Nick_BDGE) I made last week... what are y'all thoughts. LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory – TD Production Trends… LeSean McCoy rushing TDs the past six seasons…2-9-5-3-13-6 Excluding the big spike in 2016 with 13 rushing TDs, McCoy has averaged 5.0 rushing TDs per season in his other campaigns since 2012. Chris Ivory rushing TDs the past five seasons…3-6-7-3-1 4.0 rushing TDs per season the past five seasons, 4.3 TDs per season the past four campaigns. Hitting six or more rushing TDs in a season the past four years for Ivory and McCoy… 2 times = LeSean McCoy (2016 and 2017) 2 times = Chris Ivory (2015 and 2016) How many rushing TDs will Chris Ivory siphon away from LeSean McCoy in fantasy 2018? The answer determines whether you’d say that McCoy is an RB1 or more an RB2 this upcoming season. #nfl#nflnews#nflstats#fantasyfootball#fantasyfootballdraft#shady#buffalobills#runningback#nflfootball#nflsunday
