Just a reminder that Bodypositivity is not reserved for plus sized women. • • It's for people who recover from eating disorders and wanna gain weight. It's so destructive to tell them they look to thin or they should be lucky to be thin, lucky that they can eat whatever they want. • • It's for people who don't struggle with their weight but other beauty ideals dictated by the patriarchy. • It's for the people you think are too beautiful to talk about bopo, because in your opinion they never struggled enough or at all. • Basically, it's for everyone. • • So just Stop assuming things and shut up if you're weren't asked for your opinion. And please don't start a competition around who has it harder in life. We're here to support eachother and nothing else!
200 HR YTT COMPLETED!!! And honestly? I’m still kind of stunned I gathered the courage to finally do this, let alone finish it during a busy semester. It was a blessing to go through this training with @susan_lopez_ballet, @hadleyradt, and @nataliefairbrook as well as Tod stepping in as Lisa’s co-teacher - we learned so much from each other. I’m so grateful to @soulyogasr for the community they have built and the incredible mentoring from Lisa Ellison! And of course, forever thankful to @unicorn_in_uniform who saw potential and passion in me before this possibility even entered my mind. Circa 2014, I remember Kate suggested to me that I might consider doing a yoga teacher training. And at first I thought it was ridiculous idea. And then it began to grow, this teeeny little seed of an idea. I will always be grateful for this path to loving my body and its power that Kate opened up for me. And I can’t wait to begin doing that for others who have wanted to try yoga but feel they do not belong. A big giant thank you to my love @seventurtleseven for all of her support in everything I do! And, @ziggy_pupdust for being my sidekick and working her tail off. Swipe left for more fun photos!
