Starting in July Etsy is going to make it more difficult for their sellers- they claim it will help. 1. Say good bye to the 3.5% they are taking per sale, it will now be 5%. So most stores will probably raise prices to cover this, sorry everyone. 2. They will offer a “standard” service that is free but will start a “Plus” service and “Premium” service that will charge sellers starting at $10/month then increasing to $20/month. Premium pricing hasn’t been announced but they are trying to sell it as “full set of advanced tools that let you run your business like a boss”. I’m sure that will cost you. I’m assuming that people who decide to go the “standard” and free route will be forced to the bottom and won’t be found. Which is what they are currently doing to New shops and people who don’t sell tons of items. I might have to say goodbye to my shop, I use Etsy because they supported small business but now it seems the exact opposite. #shopsmall#etsy#thisisntbetter#freelancedesigner
