This hand has held thousands of others hands, prompting wellness and courage. This hand has swept away tears from cheeks, dirt from scrapes and checked for fevers on foreheads for decades. This hand has held children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s hands as they excitedly told wild stories of bravery and conquests. This hand hovers quietly over my dad’s chest countless times a night to be assured that his heart is still beating. This hand has turned thousands of pounds of food into culinary feasts of the Ukraine, because when all else fails ...”eat eat”. This hand has lovingly stroked my hair for hours as I suffered heart break, divorce and Illness. This hand is my mom’s and I pray my hands will be just like hers... 💙💛🦋 • • • #mom#hero#rolemodel#mentor#thisismystory#shechangedit#family
Declan turned seven months old on Sunday. What did we do? We celebrated with pictures and the pool and played all day. Seven months old is also the same age Johnny Morris was when he was diagnosed with Stage IV #neuroblastoma. I don’t know his parents personally but they are pretty much #hero status in my book. Because when you become a parent you become an instant advocate for your kid. And what this family has done is pretty miraculous. After three years, 90 rounds of anesthesia and 39 rounds of chemotherapy, they went to what they assumed would be their temporary home while Johnny received DFMO treatment in Detroit to discover that his scans were better than expected and he could, in fact, return home to #massachusetts and receive the majority of his treatment there. I applaud you Morris Family and Team #johnnystrong. You #kcfa. Go donate at the link in my bio or buy a bracelet. Everything helps. Side note, how cute is #johnnystrong at his first day of school. #warmsmycoldblackheart
Dash cam video shows a captain from the Preble County Sheriff’s Office being hit by a semi-trailer in Eaton back in January 2016. Captain Brad Moore was directing traffic Jan. 8 following a single-car accident at the intersection of U.S. 35 and West Lexington Road in Eaton. A semi-trailer was moving through the area when it was hit by the train. The semi-trailer then hit Moore while he was standing in the roadway. Police say Captain Moore suffered a gash to the head, a broken left hand and needed 25 stitches, but he was otherwise okay. This video shows just one of the many other dangers police officers face besides the murderous and disgusting criminal animals that they also deal with.
