I used to ALWAYS fear starting over. 🙈 ••• It felt like it was a sign of weakness. That it was another example of a failed attempt. That it was proof that I couldn't commit to something and I was destined to be stuck. ••• But what I didn't realize was that it was this type of mindset (of fearing commitment & being a perfectionist) that was ACTUALLY holding me back from seeing continued progress. ••• I didn't need to be perfect to progress. I just had to be continually learning and growing because every failed attempt along the way was actually a lesson. And there really was NO final destination (especially when it comes to my health). ••• There is only continued learning, practice, and lessons that shape us along the way. ••• Do you agree? 👇👇 ••• #motivationmonday#startingover#thereisnodestination#busymom#journeynotdestination#boymom#workingwoman#soccermomlife#dontquitonyourself#singlemomlife#anotherchancetogetitright

“Don’t be shy about asking for help. It doesn’t mean you’re weak, it only means you’re wise.” 📷: @dianadaviscreative . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I remember very clearly the day I took this picture. @dianadaviscreative And I we’re wondering around the south street seaport and I thought this would be a great place to take a pic....probably to use for some quote about “being caught between a rock and a hard place” 😝 . Well, after I climbed my butt up there, I discovered that the gap to step across was bigger than I thought. As I stood there trying to figure out how to take the step across Diana simply asked “Do you need some help?” Duh! Why hadn’t I thought to just ask in the first place? So she helped me up and down from my precarious position. We got the shot that I wanted. And I didn’t get injured! 👏🏾 . Is anyone else guilty of this? You’re sitting on one side of a gap between where you are and where you want to be. Have you asked for help yet? Why not? We simply can’t do everything alone. Sometimes we lack the knowledge, other times the motivation, other times the resources. What if what you needed was just a request away? Don’t let pride, shame, embarrassment or ego get in the way of your journey. Ask for help! #journeynotdestination#askforhelp#flywheelsports
I’ve always romanticized vehicles from a time I’ll never physically be able to step foot in. Be it travel or daily life, any time I spot a machine from days past, my mind hits the road with ambitions to ramble. . Yes, the maintenance and upkeep might wear me thin or the long hours logged on the shoulder of a backroad, stranded, due to a busted hose or any number of other time worn surprises. . But in today’s world of remote work and travel, perhaps the gift is in the waiting, patience and reminder to slow down. . Comment your favorite vintage car, truck or motorcycle.
