CONTINUATION(Kindly check earlier post for beginning) . . . 5.)Tell them bedtime stories. You can narrate to them the stories of Prophets. These are not only interesting but have very strong moral messages. These stories go a long way in nurturing the subconscious minds of kids and will help them to develop a love for the Prophet Muhammed (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Salam) and a desire to live their lives in the way that he has taught us. Teach your children about the many different acts of worship that the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Salam) practiced. Read to them narrations about the life of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Salam) to inspire them to follow his example. Teach them to say "Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Salam" whenever the name of the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Salam) is mentioned. Encourage them to always act upon the Sunnah and praise them when they display prophetic character. Warn your children about the dangers of innovation in their worship - the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Salam) has shown us the perfect way to worship Allah and we should always seek to follow his example without modification. Instill in your children the habit of cleanliness, in accordance with prophetic tradition 6 Spend time with them. Get them admitted to good schools where they are free to practice Islam. Ask them about their day at school. If they have any problem, encourage them to share everything with you. When they are about 5, start sending them to Qur'an classes. This will help them become accustomed to sharing the company of other same-gender children motivated to learn about Islam and will instill the lifelong habit of learning. The whole family should aim to spend at least 15 minutes together each evening to read and recite Qur'an - this will help the young children to understand that the Qur'an lies at the centre of family life. Taking your children to the local mosque for prayers will help them to feel part of the Muslim community and impress
One of my favorite things to do is to surprise my son with a new book when I get home from work. When that first page opens, it’s like you’re unveiling a whole new world to your kids. So this new Prime Book Box from Amazon is like a surprise present for both of us every month! (Parents get a few options to choose from) The September box was Uni the Unicorn by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and illustrated by Brigette Barrager. And There’s a Monster in your Book by Tom Fletcher and illustrated by Greg Abbott.
