Another place in Japan being a popular choice for sightseeing is Kyoto. That city wasn't destroyed during WWII and this fact alone contributes to its miraculous atmosphere. Kyoto is like a chestbox filled with treasures we people may only dream of. I am by no means capable of delivering true level of admiration I have for this place in my heart by words, so I leave it to writers like Mishima who unlike me was able to capture its real beauty. I wish I had more time here to stroll along not only Kinkakuji but also around Ginkakuji and take in enchanting feel of Pontocho, but time wasn't on my side. Nevertheless, I may say now with no doubt in mind that Kyoto deserves the fame it has.
