Little coffee service going up on the site today! Stoked to go on a road trip with my little dog, Oliver, back home to TX. Getchew somethin’ special and provide us with gas and snack money in the process. So stoked to have a break from teaching that will allow us to get away for a couple of weeks.
Iv been abit awol recently. Both myself and chloe were hit with the sickness bug at the beginning of the week and the rest of the week has passed in a blur of work and getting orders out. I have a question for you guys. Do you prefer to order via Etsy or by a sellers own website? I had both for a while but couldnt keep up with keeping both updated so currently just and Etsy and of course the amazing @and_so_to_shop.
After you throw a pot....you do not always want to let it sit out on a shelf to dry. If you want to add a handle or tool a foot ring on the bottom of a bowl, you need to try to keep the piece damp at a leather hard stage. In Canada where I learned to throw, the facility had a DAMP ROOM. The room was lined in plastic sheets and all the shelving was also covered. Water was thrown on the cement floor (a wooden walkway ran between the shelves) of this warm room.
I love a good closeup because you get to see all of the whites, extra whites, creams, and grays that go into making an all-white polar bear. The cream color really gives an element of warmth and realism that I love!
