For those wondering, I did have an IG account previously. I had taken some time away to finish up my hardest semester yet of graduate school - and then, to be honest, I also was feeling overwhelmed and intimidated by what I had built here. Makeup had always been a fun hobby, but to have grown an award-winning LLC business in just a year was nuts, and I wasn't sure how I wanted to move forward. I deleted my account in a moment of fear, uncertainty, and wanting to clear my mind and take a break (my website and Facebook pages stayed up). - Then yesterday, I had a wedding. I was the very first person my bride saw when she woke up, in her satin robe with bare face and messy hair, nervous and excited about marrying the love of her life. So I hugged her. I made sure she had water. I put my cape around her shoulders and swirled brushes over her skin for her makeup application, and I watched her visibly relax. I joked with her, I met her loved ones, I talked to her about the day ahead. And when she opened her eyes to her final bridal look and her mother and family and friends teared up, so did I. . Beauty by Jacquelyn LLC will be two years old in September. It's crazy to me that in that time I've worked with so many clients and have traveled so many places and met so many amazing vendors. I've worked weddings, but I've also worked dance competitions, family photos, senior photos, birthday parties, holiday parties, and have done countless tutorials and consultations. And every single time a client opens their eyes and recognizes themselves in a new way, I feel it in my heart. . I don't know where this will go or what it will be - I just know I can't give it up. 💓 In a world where female-owned businesses are growing and flourishing, I want to be part of that. I want to embrace whatever gifts or talents I have, not hide them. I want to build relationships. I want to contribute to beautiful moments. And this business I've built is an amazing way to do that. 😘 . Makeup:
