the second installment of the teachings of don juan; carlos castaneda, a botanist from los angeles returns to the desert and mountains of sonora mexico to continue his apprenticeship with a native yaqui indian known as a brujo/medicine man...don juan. castaneda proceeds to discuss and go into detail the frightening, enlightening, beautiful experience to becoming a man of knowledge through the use of hallucinogens such as peyote & mushrooms. after inhaling “the little smoke” endless times to encounter mescalito and his allies from a different dimension so he can receive his answers, the lessons he comes back with will make you feel like you are tripping right there with him. this book is a reminder that life just is and that our human nature is what makes everything complicated. everything i seem to touch is a constant reminder of the law of detachment and this book was no different. i highly recommend it 🌀
