I like what this photo represents. I explored portrait composition (to show as little of the environment outside the subject space as I can); used metering modes to get the right exposure for my subject, but mostly for artistic purposes; tinkered around with the "white balance" setting (though this was not difficult) and used some natural frames (the best part of this) Essentially, I started properly thinking about framing my shots with as many relevant tools as I need. My focus could be better in this photo (in fact, I do have one with a better focus, but that probably won't be posted) but, yes, it's deliberately not on the (mostly) centred tree. My aperture should have been smaller, but I still appreciate what this photo represents. This is a photo that would probably be much greater when edited.
