I spent my second day off soaking up the Sun’s rays and diving into the book “You are a Bad Ass. [...]” by @jensincero and found this quote particularly inspiring to the world of nursing. I firmly believe that nursing is a calling. Everyone has bad days at work where everything was a mess, they couldn’t find support and the only thing making them get through is thinking about that bottle of wine they have waiting for them at home. But, a nurse that has been truly called to be a nurse can move past those difficult shifts and come back the next day with the right amount of attention, patience and knowledge that saves patients lives. The right nurse makes such an intense difference in the lives of their patients, both at the bedside passing medications and at the nurses station looking up information. Be that nurse that shows you were called to be one - if it’s true, it will come natural.
