If you’re my Facebook friend, I apologize for the annoying bombardment of check-ins I made to my CrossFit classes - it was part of the requirements to the agreement I made for my 6 week trial! Now, with the 6 weeks of my challenge finally over, this is likely my last fitness related post I’ll ever make.  If you’ve known me a long time, you know (basically) my entire childhood was spent as the obese kid. It got as bad as me weighing 260 pounds at only 16 years old. Then, senior year of high school, taking Strength & Conditioning as my physical education class changed my life, and has become one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I have been working out consistently since then, got great results, and have always been skeptical of CrossFit; however, it is only right to give credit where credit is due. This 6 week program, although frustrating, was remarkable. Learned tons of new workouts, started making and eating healthier foods, and have finished feeling like I’m in the best shape of my life. I sadly will not continue going to a CrossFit GYM, but will absolutely continue to use the workouts. And if you ever find the time to give their workouts a chance, do so (safely!). You won’t regret it. But, MOST IMPORTANTLY, make the similar decision to eat healthy - it’s miserable for a while, but it is really what it all comes down to when trying to get into shape.  I reached the goals set out for me when the challenge started: -20.2 lbs. -5.0 % body fat In 6 weeks of training.  Thank you, CrossFit Commitment, for the lesson in fitness I didn’t know I needed.  Now, please excuse me while I erase almost all of it with this pound and a half of frozen yogurt, peanut butter, Nutella, hot fudge, and Reese’s cups. – Fat boy Fountas, out.  P.S - I will also be obliterating an entire tub of ice cream tonight too because ice cream is a trillion times better than frozen yogurt don’t @ me I’m a certified Professional Fat Boy For Life Eater.
