This gorgeous boy is looking for his forever home 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 contact Newport city dogs home for adoption details Please whisper a very gentle welcome to Vincent, who arrived unceremoniously at Newport City Dogs Home last week. He's an American Bully, fairly common in the US but a relatively new breed to the UK. Vincent was found dumped, a few hundred yards away from Newport City Dogs Home. He was taken straight to Summerhill Vets, and from there brought to the Home. He isn't microchipped, but we have been informed he is originally from the Llanrumney area of Cardiff and most recently has lived in Newport. His ears have been cropped illegally which is an offence under Section 5 of the animal welfare act (mutilation). Vincent was in very poor condition when he arrived. He had little control over his limb movements and the initial assessment by the vets indicated possible neurological damage, or trauma, or a combination of both. He was disorientated and was unable to walk unaided for more than a few steps without falling over. We were pretty confident his 'owners' would not come forward to claim him (they would have had to account for the butchery he suffered when his ears were cut off) but we felt Vincent needed a full and thorough quality of life assessment in a calm environment. Vincent has gone to stay with his new foster mum and dad for a while, and within hours of arriving he has confounded us all with his new joie de vivre! Vincent has found his mojo! Please SHARE this very special boy. He needs a very special home.
