|\Motivation/| Motivation to start. Motivation to continue. Motivation to see it through to the end. Do you really need have that much motivation to get to your goal? I would say, No, and let me explain. . It plays a part in the beginning, yes, but it's not what will keep you going through the hard times: . -when schedules get full, -when energy is low, -when stress is high, -when time is short... . Motivation is a just one piece of the puzzle, and it's main contribution is mostly at the start of a new goal/plan. It can be what we rely on at the beginning to take our first action steps and that's great! But, when the activity is no longer new and shiny and our excitement starts to fade, motivation often goes with it. I can tell you there have been many times, like the day I took this pic, I've had 0 motivation to get to the gym to train or practice, so how am I in there? START WITH LACING UP YOUR SHOES. On the days you really don't "feel" like doing a specific task you know you need to, start with the smallest intro task: . -Workout? Put on your shoes, tie them up and do your mobility. Then decide if you should workout. . - Run? Put on your shoes, tie them up and go 1 block. Then decide if you should run. . - Writing? Write a sentence, any sentence and then decide if you should write today. Why? There is something to be said about momentum. When we are in a stand still, like that real tough spot, we tend to look at the whole task ahead, when all we really need to do is see and take that first little step. Then another. And before you know it, you might just look back at memory the completed task 😊.
Do you workout with weights? ... I've never personally been scared to use weights in the gym however I've never really found a program that give me workouts with weights. I'm that awkward girl who makes the "wtf at the gym" post because I'm using weights like an idiot! ... But I've never really had anyone teach me! So today I've signed up for @kayla_itsines #bbgstronger program! You can find it on your play store under the SWEAT APP. ... Basically it is a guided workout with weights in a gym setting. I've used the BBG basic program and loved it but it's not great for gym use! So excited to have found a program that takes me day by day and week by week. I can track my eating, it gives me daily food plans/meals, and even tells me my grocery list for the week!!!! It syncs with my calendar so I can modify and get workout reminders as well! ... I'm going to try it out for 1 month.. 4 whole weeks and I'll let you know if I love it or hate it! ... Follow my progress on the app under Happy.Helio!
