These might look like scallops but they were pilliowy bean curd, which were so soft I thought I was floating on some cloud in food heaven! They were so flavoursome with a mala sauce (they love that stuff up here). The 2nd dish was bean curd skin thinly sliced so that it resembled a noodle dish. Really haven't seen this in London or anywhere else in Europe. Both dishes seemed quite healthy and vegan-friendly and once again we ordered 5 main course dishes (large portion size) and it was all less than £2 per person. Bargain! This was at the North East cookroom (dong bei xiao chu) on jin bang shan lu.
