I actually own this book and started it 5 hours before 3 books dropped from my library waitlist on #libby. My brain tells me I really should put this book down and start some of my waitlisted books but My Sisters Keeper has me like 👀. Which book should I start next? Lilac Girls, What Alice Forgot, or the Fault in Our Stars? Which one will I be glued to immediately?
As children words and actions of others impacted our psyche, but as adults we get to decide what is true for us. It's not what others say to or about us that matters, but the value we place on those words. If someone is making you feel inferior, stop hanging out or talking with him/her; plain and simple. Up your game Find your tribe Love yourself
Most people who know me, know I've been on a spiritual journey for many many years. I'm obsessed with enlightenment, spiritual growth, the human mind, meditation, becoming centered, connecting to my own heart and mind, trying to be of service to humanity- and I fully believe there is much more to us than this physical body and realm that we call "reality." I don't post about the million books I read or lectures I attend or journeys I explore in this discovery. However, not sharing this book with the world seems like an actual dis-service to humanity on a very basic level. So for anyone out there who loves to read, is looking and interested in exploring who and what we are, our birth right that we are already worthy simply for being a us, waking up from the dream of an illusionary realty or is just sort of curious- read this book. Your soul with thank you and I think it would be virtually impossible not to feel a shift in your own perception of our world. 💕🙌🏼🙏🏼📚📚📚📚📚 . . . #booksaresexy#read#educate#readmore#knowledgeispower#knowledgeisstrength#paulselig#forgive#love#worth

Because you can never have too much to read! 📚 . To join, or for more information about #thefairybookclub - visit our website www.ibelieveinbookfairies.com💚 . 📚About the book: From the Booker Prize-winning author of The Remains of the Day and When We Were Orphans, comes an unforgettable edge-of-your-seat mystery that is at once heartbreakingly tender and morally courageous about what it means to be human. Hailsham seems like a pleasant English boarding school, far from the influences of the city. Its students are well tended and supported, trained in art and literature, and become just the sort of people the world wants them to be. But, curiously, they are taught nothing of the outside world and are allowed little contact with it. Within the grounds of Hailsham, Kathy grows from schoolgirl to young woman, but it’s only when she and her friends Ruth and Tommy leave the safe grounds of the school (as they always knew they would) that they realize the full truth of what Hailsham is. Never Let Me Go breaks through the boundaries of the literary novel. It is a gripping mystery, a beautiful love story, and also a scathing critique of human arrogance and a moral examination of how we treat the vulnerable and different in our society. In exploring the themes of memory and the impact of the past, Ishiguro takes on the idea of a possible future to create his most moving and powerful book to date. #ibelieveinbookfairies#bookfairy#bookfairies#thebookfairies#ssshhh#miltonpubliclibrary#milton#ontario#readmore#igreads #booksofinstagram#readingisourfavourite #neverletmego#kazuoishiguru#readallthebooks#bookclub#sharebooks#bookworm#bookish
