I love my @Bose QC35 II. It’s the perfect headphones for me to stay productive while editing my photos. The QC35 II helps me clear away the noise so I can focus on my passions. It makes me feel like I am in a separate room from everybody else even if I am outside taking a walk or if I am in a cafe finishing up some emails! If you’re always on the go and need to stay focused on your work like me, the Bose QC35 II is gold! #ad#qc35ii
Dr. John (Mac Rebennack). Gris-Gris. 1968. Atco Records. “He’s such a polite young man. And handsome too”, said Mrs. Riley. (As she looked at her granddaughter Carrie). What she really meant was that Jordon Richman was wealthy. True enough. In fact, the young Richman was probably the most polite (and wealthiest) businessman in the Parish. Everyone liked him. From a respected old New Orlean family. The Richman’s gave money to every charity in town. And were in attendance in Church every Sunday morning. They respected the traditional ways of southern Louisiana. Respected? Well...Yes. Today was Jordon’s birthday. It was also the night he would...pay tribute for the Gris-Gris talisman he kept with him. It was a tribute and ceremony he took very seriously. His father made it clear; respect the old ways. As a college student, Jordon thought it was interesting, even fun. The midnight ceremony in Saint Louis Cemetery...filled with the old ways. The sounds and the rhythms just below the surface of his life. The practice reminded him; for all his charm and wealth...arrangement must be made to pay the (yearly) tribute to Jordon’s Voodoo Priestess, Marie Catherine. A tribute Jordon’s family had been paying since their business was founded (1887). It was no light matter and...it worried him. “Happy Birthday, Jordon”. #drjohn#recordplayer#lps#audioporn#music#vinyligclub#vinyllove#vinylcommunity#vinylcollector#vinylcollectionpost#recordoftheday#albumoftheday#vinyloftheday#vinyladdict#vinyljunkie#vinyligclub#nowspinningonvinyl#igvinylcollectors
Pierre Moerlen's Gong, Downwind (1979) – First album under the Pierre Moerlen's Gong moniker, third Gong album with Moerlen in charge, after «Gazeuse!» and the marvellous «Expresso II». This is a more pop/rock/prog oriented album, with deluxe guests such as Mike Oldfield, Steve Winwood and ex-Rolling Stones Mick Taylor (speaking of Oldfield, the title track is reminiscent of «Tubular bells»). A very good listen.
Thanks once again to @warnermusic @sirerecords @recstorecrawl @dickjoseph for sending me this @ramones box set for their Road to Ruin 40th Anniversary! This album was released last Friday and its absolutely stunning 😍 the packaging contains three CDs & a remastered 180 gram vinyl + a very awesome booklet!! Ok so this was the Ramones’ 4th studio album and the first record to not have Tommy Ramone as the drummer, even though he was an executive producer for the album. This album was a totally different more tame album, but it was still perceived very well by critics. The song’s most popular single “I Wanna Be Sedated” charted very well. It also featured a song “Pins and Needles” which was a cover by an early Brit zoom band The Searchers & The Song was written by Sonny Bono & Jack Nitzsche (one of the early Stones songwriters). This version contains two different mixes of the album, unissued rough mixes for every album track, and an unreleased 1979 concert recording of the Ramones in New York. The packaging is stunning and a must need for any Ramones fan!!! Go order it from your local record store 🖤🖤 let’s talk about some of your favorite memories with The Ramones, rather it being seeing them back in the day or using their music to excel at life 🤗 which album is your favorite? And what Ramone do you love the most? 🖤 . . . #ramones#ramonesforever#theramones#johnnyramone#vinyl#vinylgirl#vinylgeek#vinylettes#vinylcommunity#punk#punkrock#punkrockgirl#vinylcollection#boxset#40thanniversary#rock#recordoftheday#vinyloftheday#vinyligclub
