sad. You can see my scarring so clearly in this photo. But, I’m hoping it continues to fade over these next few months... . . . #accutane#accutanejourney#pimples#acnescars#skinproblems#isotretinoin#clearskin#zits#roaccutane#acne#nomakeup#scars#acnetreatment#accutaneproblems#acnetreatment#selflove#skincare#breakout#acneproblems#badskin#dermatology#skingoals#adultacne#hormonalacne#cysticacne

My all time favourite moisturisers whilst I’ve been taking Accutane. I am a die hard Lush fan and used to use imperils but after about a week it just wasn’t enough for my “new skin” type. I’ve been using Liz Earle tonic spray followed by Celestial on a morning and the Full of Grace bar on a night. Both smell amazing and definitely have helped keep my dryness under control! Couldn’t recommend more. . . . #lush #lushcosmetics #lushmoisturizer #lushmoisturiser #celestrial #fullofgrace #skin #skincare #dryskin #acne #accutane #roaccutane #roaccutanejourney #accutaneproblems #accutaneproblems #accutanediary #accutanelife #accutanecommunity #accutanesideeffects #accutaneproblems #accutaneproducts
Trying to love the light coverage makeup ✨ I’ve had acne since I was 10 years old (I’m now 23) and it has always been a big insecurity of mine. This year I decided to try and do something about it and went to see a dermatologist. Several months later and I’ve just started taking roaccutane. I’m thinking of doing updates here on insta, if anyone would be intersted? (I know it doesn’t look bad in these pictures, they are not to show the problem) #skincare #roaccutane #roaccutanejourney #acne #acneskin #adultacne #hormonalacne #summermakeup #acnemakeup #makeupartist #nomakeupmakeup
I’m probably gonna hate myself for doing this post but I’m so happy with my skin now. I finished my course of roaccutane yesterday and I can’t believe what a difference it’s made. Most people will probably think it wasn’t that bad, but I’ve had spots since I was about 13 and nothing I did seemed to help. The side effects haven’t been fun but it’s deffo been worth it 😁 #roaccutane #acne #acnetreatment #spots #skin
Day 43. Savagely dry lips today, coming away in flakes, ugh. I can’t stop biting my lip because of them! Need to stop. Dry flaky face is back too. I am also having the period from hell. I had the copper coil fitted to prevent pregnancy while on roaccutane as it is so dangerous but oh Lordy lord does it give me the worse periods of my life. Feel like I might faint from the blood loss. Sorry to be so gross! Just this combined with the effects of roaccutane makes me feel horrific. An early night and an iron rich dinner is on the cards tonight. Fun times! At least my skin is looking so much better these days. #acnecycle #accutane #roaccutane #badskin #acnetreatment
First day on month five: I’m feeling great! My hyperpigmentation is definitely more rosey the last week 😊 Cute story for you: My seven year old son (picture four) came up to me today and said “Hey Mom I’m noticing you don’t have as much freckles as you use to,where did they go”? I told him that it’s actually called acne (what I had)and that it’s NORMAL. I showed him the difference between freckles and pimples. He had no idea there was a difference. I found this to be so cute AND a teaching moment. He has never questioned my appearance with acne in the past as that’s how he’s always known my face to look. I’m hoping through this process my children can see that acne is normal. I’m hoping they see past acne and still see the beauty in others despite scarring, acne and other skin conditions. Society’s beauty standard is false. I’m hoping through my story they will find security if they find themselves with acne in the future, knowing I will be there supporting them in the best way I can. #accutane #roaccutane #isotretinoin #acne #pimples #freckles #hyperpigmentation #momoftwo #mom #skincare #skincareroutine #acneblog #blog #blogger #pimples #scars #eczema #eczemarelief #acnetreatment #skincaretips
This has never been an easy topic to talk about but I wanted to address it anyway. I’ve been struggling with acne for as long as I can remember. Small spots started appearing on my face and back when I was about ten or eleven years old. At that age it targeted my self-esteem, even though it wasn’t as noticeable as it is now. Different visits to my GP as well as different dermatologists were not able to make a difference. With some medication it got better, though always temporarily, and with some the acne became worse. After a few years of dealing with my acne and the scarring due to it, it became clear for me that this was going to be my skin and I had to deal with that. The mental thing became easier, but the physical pain became worse. What started as some pimples on my face and back, were now big painful inflammations on my whole face, neck, chest, back and bum. At the end of a long day, my face would feel so stressed to the point where I could feel my heartbeat in the inflammations. The acne in my neck would make it painful to move my head in any direction, let alone wear necklaces or handle a barbell in my neck. For some reason, the acne would always appear exactly where bra straps touched my skin. And even though I was able to deal with my acne, subconsciously I would never pick a low-cut top or anything with an open back. It still affected me in some everyday choices. I started wearing less makeup, because I felt it’d be better to give my skin a break every now and then. But after that I started getting comments and questions about my skin from other people. Everyone seemed to have an opinion about my face, or would have the ‘ultimate solution’ to the problem. Even though I appreciated their concerns, not a day went by without anyone calling out my skin condition. Even people who are close to me said that they were shocked about the way my face looks. More than ten years have passed since this skin condition struck me and I feel like now is the
Post roaccutane day 104! My skin is still super smooth and looks fresh, no new outbreaks 👏🏻

I don’t have any blocked pores anymore, I still have some pigmentation and my scars are much more visible on this photo. I have been wearing make up everyday as I’m currently in Devon but today decided not to put any on but later tonight I will be doing. Only used a dermaroller twice since finishing accutane but when I get home I’ll be doing it about once a week to help to reduce my scars - #roaccutane #accutane #isotretinoin #acnescars #scars #dermatology #nofilter #pigmentation #hyperpigmentation #acnetreatment #acneproblem #accutanejourney #progress #clearskin #acnecommunity #acneproneskin #postaccutane #postroaccutane

Day 5✋🏻 Swipe for acne photo👉🏿 Намазалась бб кремом и увидела, что кожа на носу и вокруг прыщиков начала сушиться. И на спине появился дружочек 👁 Решила для разнообразия сделать такой формат поста, уж очень хотелось поделиться первой фоткой💕 Skin on my nose started to dry🍂 PS how do you like such form of posts? Wanted to share this beautiful photo so much💕
Week 8 Side Effects! (Again, sorry it's up late😴) . My biggest issue this week was the fact that the skin on my entire body was flaking constantly - Just SO DRY! It actually started making me feel very grossed out and uncomfortable because I felt like a walking cloud of dry skin.😷I hate the feeling of body lotions, they feel unclean/heavy/sticky/just gross and I can't stand the feeling of putting clothes on over lotion.😷I need to decide which is worse!🙈 . As far as my face goes😅the flakiness was stressing me out - I literally sat in public moisturising my face (Day 51) it was that flaky and I felt SO self-conscious about it. I feel like I need to exfoliate hourly!😷Also, the nosebleeds are annoying. . Photos are from: Day 53: Swipe👉I get this super thick layer of skin on my lips each day, they constantly need exfoliated! Swipe👉Dry skin. Swipe👉So my Fitbit has been causing issues this week! The top mark was where I used to wear it, so I loosened the strap, which only made it worse because it's moving & rubbing more! I swear any amount of friction takes the top layer of skin off! I'm covered in tiny abrasions! Swipe👉My nose is another example of this. Swipe👉This photo shows my scars so well.😟It makes me sad. I wish I'd done Accutane sooner. Day 56: Swipe👉×3 Day 57 (Thu 9th Aug): Swipe👉×1 Just more dry skin photos.😴 . Just to clarify, all of the photos are taken in the morning before I wash my face! I don't, personally, walk around with my skin looking that extreme.🙈 . I have SUCH a new-found appreciation for people with skin this dry all of the time!❤I was genuinely struggling to cope by the end of the week, but it's totally my issue.😂Maybe this wouldn't bother anyone else, I don't know.🙈It'll just take adjustment, I think. I've spent my entire life (at least since puberty) with oily skin, so this is all new territory for me.😅 . I'm still confident it will all be worth it.👊❤ .
21.08.18 🌱 Skin Update 🌱 ☀️I am currently 3days post period and I know that usually my skin will clear up during and after my period. That is the sitch currently as well, but hey! I’m not mad! ☀️ 💄 Makeup usually doesn’t break me out, but I’m noticing a pattern of the spots having a party in the area I put contour/bronzer. 💄 Perhaps time for a new bronzer. What do you use? Let me know! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 Tonight was also the first night using @realu - an Australian skincare range that gets results without the nasties ❌❌❌ Keep an eye out for more skin updates! 🌸See you round, like a rissole🌸
