Charleville Courthouse - one of the town's most beautiful historic buildings. @agforceqld forum in Morven tomorrow; then Cunnamulla, Thargomindah and Quipie (Friday). Looking forward to running sessions on social media (tips on how best to tell Ag stories), plus a #drone demo or two. . . . #charleville #morven #cunnamulla #quilpie #agforce #westernqueensland #queensland #socialmedia #social #agstorytelling #ruralstories #ruralstoriesmatter #ruralstorytelling #landclearing #nrm #outback #agriculture #farming #bush #droneworkshop
BROKEN HILL, NSW: "Doc," he said. "I'm a bit crook, y'know? You see I've had these coughs and hot sweats all this week and they keep telling me it's all a virus. But I'm pretty sure its pneumonia." "Why are you sure its pneumonia?" I enquired. "Well," he retorted, "when I was a young fella, I used to love drinking sweet drinks from these plastic bottles we had at home, and one hot day I saw my dad had left my favourite flavoured cordial in a bottle on the roof of our ute. I chugged it all down in one gulp only to find out it was petrol! Turns out dad had run out of petrol that day and had siphoned some from a mate's car into the only available vessel nearby -my water bottle. Since then, I've had trouble with my lungs and repeated lots of pneumonia." When I came over to confirm his diagnosis and to send him home with antibiotics and a medical certificate, he knocked back my offer of a week off work. I work underground in the mines, mate. There ain't no way I'll be missing more than a few days below the earth where I can keep myself busy."
He happily smiled for the picture and eagerly asked me to show his picture. When I asked him why? he answered that it was his first picture.Almost half of the population of the world lives in rural regions and mostly in a state of poverty. #ruralindia #childhood #andhrapradesh #ig_andhrapradesh #humansofindia #village#ruralstories #mytraveldiaries #travel#nikon#nikonindia#india#nofilter#storytelling#traveldiaries
. In this olive tree your great-grandfather hanged himself. Years later in that same branch, so did my father. And do not ask me why. We should have taken it away then, when it was shown that it was in our land and not in that of the papafritas. In this town people solve things like that. A minimum setback of life makes them grab the rope and finish everything. Son, do you want to stop looking at the ground and attend to what I am telling you? Sorry father, but right now I'm just watching your shoes suspended a meter above the ground. . #microrelatos #ahorcamientos #olivos #premoniciones #historiasrurales #olives #hangings #premonition #ruralstories

And she said “Of course you can get there. There’s this path, it will take you about 3 hours walk. Then there’s a shorter way in the woods, you have to pass through houses though, so only we locals know…” . . This is Montenegro, and the feeling I took with me after visiting the country recently. People openly welcome you as a traveler, but they still treasure what they really know - as if two parallel worlds coexisted. Places reachable on the map, but inaccessible in their local essence, together with the overwhelming presence of nature, made this country a living fairy tale in my eyes.

Firewood🔥 is the widely used fuel source in Indian villages. cow dung and agricultural residue is also used extensively. The use of firewood for cooking has declined very very slowly over the years in rural India, the numbers show, going from 78.2 per cent of all rural households in 1993-94 to 67.3 per cent in 2011-12. And to this date, more than 50% of the homes in Indian rural societies still rely of firewood for cooking and other domestic purposes. In India, trees in the federal states are classified by the respective state departments into different categories depending on their commercial value as well as zones which are demarcated based on ecological criteria. Cutting these categorised trees and transiting them requires the permission and presence of state officials at various levels. Numerous studies and reports published on importance of forest conservation and impact of firewood on forestlands in India, central and state governments have also initiated a few schemes providing subsidised LPG connections in rural areas but firewood still seen overtly as fuel of choice in Indian rural lands. I found few men collecting wood for the household fuel in the neighbourhood, thus came the photo and the post about it💚 🌞 🌳🌲🏠🏡🏠🌲🌳 #firewood #fuel #ruralphotography #forestconservation #savewood #ruralindia #fueloptions #forestconcept #trees🌳 #woodforcooking #incredibleindia🇮🇳 #enviornentallyfriendly #enviornmentfriendly #saveenergy #saveenviornment #lifeinrural #indiainfoline
