In Sanskriet wordt hij ook wel Sarvangasana genoemd. 🍃 De kaars kalmeert het zenuwstelsel en versterkt de rug. Ook zou deze houding een verjongend effect hebben omdat de hersenen, hoofdhuid en weefsels van het gezicht extra bloed krijgen doordat je je voeten richting de lucht reikt. Having a play about with Salamba sarvangasana aka Support shoulder stand and  Urdhva dhanurasana aka upward bow 🏹 In yoga Inversions are kind of a big thing. An inversion is to "put upside down or in the opposite position, order, or arrangement." These are usually defined as poses where your heart is higher than your head ❤🤸‍♀️ ....or basically being ass over tit?! 😂🤷‍♀️ It is said that there are many benefits of inversions, such as; ❤ Reduces blood pressure and slows your heart rate- it basically give your heart a bit of a break ☕ ❤ Stimulates lymphatic drainage- removal of waste product in your body 🗑 ❤ Boost immune function ❤ It it believed to benefit function of our cardiovascular, lymphatic, nervous, and endocrine systems ❤ Calm the nerves by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system (the opposition to your fight or flight system) ❤ Decrease depression  and anxiety symptoms ❤ Promote energy and ease fatigue 😁......and they are fun to practise....who doesn't like going upside down?? 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️ When you are upside down this give your heart a bit of a helping hand as  it quickly drains the blood towards the heart, it also helps tissue fluids to flow more efficiently into the veins and lymph channels of the lower extremities and of the abdominal and pelvic organs, facilitating a healthier exchange of nutrients and wastes between cells and capillaries. ⚠️ However I must emphasise that inversion should only be practised if you are confident in doing so as you could potentially harm yourself, so they must be practised safety⚠️ #headstand #salamba #sarvangasana #urdhvadhanurasana #upwardbow #yoga #yogapose #yogaflow #inversion #upsidedown #yogaeverywhere #yogaeverydamnday #yogi #yogisofinstagram #practise #progression #fit #fitness #strong #strength #stretch #balanced #fitfam #instafit
