How to love yourself when you feel overwhelmed: _________________________________ If you often feel overwhelmed when a lot is coming at you, you need to learn to be very kind and compassionate with yourself. You need to notice that what you're telling yourself is making it even harder for you to cope with the intensity of the situation. Instead of scaring yourself with self-judgments and proclamations of not being able to do it, you need to take a moment to breathe and relax your body. You then need to tune into your higher self and ask whether or not any of the dire things you tend to tell yourself are actually true. You need to honor that your nervous system gets easily overwhelmed and be accepting rather than judgmental about this. —————————————— Watch out if this is the kind of internal dialogue you have : ——————————————- I'll never have the time to get this done. I can't handle all this. I can't do a good job with so much on my plate. Why does everything always land in my lap? I will be late getting this in, and I will be in trouble. I wish I hadn't put this off until the last minute. I hate that I procrastinate. I do my best work under stress, so of course I feel overwhelmed.
This road is constantly challenging. Sometimes it’s brutal. There aren’t roads to turn down to grab the light. . Sometimes I wish I could shut my mind down. Rest my heart and soothe my soul. . But that’s just it, you can. You can call the difficulties with grounding tools, and gentle breaths. You can come back to the gentle reminders, that all is alright. #recovery.
Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) came to Al Madina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura (10th Muharram). He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Musa observed Saum (fast) on this day." The Prophet (S.A.W) said, "We have more claim over Musa than you." So, he observed Saum on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to observe Saum that day. [Sahih Bukhari, Book of As-Saum] Highlight: 1. Fast on the day of Ashura (10th Muharram) 2. Fast a day before Ashura (9th Muharram) or day after Ashura (11th Muharram) in conjunction with Ashura Day. #selfreminder#islamicquotes#sunnah # hadith #instadaily#taqwa#deen#practice#preach#motivation#quotes#followme#pathtoparadise#heaven#earth#muharram#ashura#spread#sadqa
