To be honest I haven’t really been feeling myself lately. Prepping for competitions requires such an intense focus on one’s outward appearance, & that can really take a toll on the mind & spirit. This weekend was amazing. I skipped workouts, drank yummy drinks all day long, forgot my shakes at home (on accident) didn’t portion out my food, ate all the carbs and didn’t set my alarm. • • Yes, it felt weird not waking up to an alarm, eating until I was so full I was almost sick, and not portioning out my food groups... But guess what.! I survived. • • This weekend was perfect. I didn’t get my designated “me” time I usually get every morning before everyone gets up. But it was perfect, I got to spend quality time with my family and create special memories that I will never forget. Chelan, Washington has a special place in my heart. My parents met there, I grew up going there, and my husband and I got married there. So creating memories with my girls there is so special. • • Life is all about balance. No, I don’t feel great today from everything I ate and drank but I wouldn’t change one thing. Using myself for my own #motivationmonday today. I ran my first #5k back in the fall. I did zero training (because I was a lazy selfish POS at the time) and I hated every minute. I saw them taking photos, that's why my head is down. I honestly had no idea these existed online and just found them today.  Because I am a glutton for punishment I just signed up again for this years race. 😂  I WILL have a better time and I WILL finish with my head held high this time.  November 2nd will be here before I know it, any #c25k apps anyone can recommend?
