Let's talk #goals for a minute... My goal is to be strong enough mentally to provide for my family and me while planning for my future goals of living by the beach when my kiddos are grown and on their own. My goal is to be strong enough emotionally to stay, or ever improve on, loving me as a whole person and not part of something else so that someday, if the starts align, I may be a complimenting part of a healthy and eternally happy relationship...or not and continue to be eternally happy with me. My fitness goals will always vary so the one I'm working on right now is my C25K program again...and those danged stairs at work! :) That's all part of a grander goal of being able to physically keep up with and enjoy life with my kiddos, my family, my friends, and myself. Sure I'd like to see the scale go down and it does slowly (but surely and that wins the race!) and I'd love to have my arms not flap in the wind and someday they won't but those arent my major goals... My major goal is to LIVE life. To savor the taste of an amazing steak, piece of cheese, or Red Velvet cake. To walk miles along the beach at sunrise and get lost in the sounds of the waves renewing my soul. To look at my kids as we laugh our asses off while dangling from a zipline or sit in the stands at their favorite sports game! (#baseball #gocubs#chicagocubs or #football#huskers #steelers). My goal is not only to be strong enough physically to hold my first grandchild someday but to run with them while they enjoy the breeze on their face. I want to push my body to its limits and know I will recover. I will LIVE life. This was just one step to move me forward...its my #fitness journey and what a ride it is. Happy Saturday all!
