My most recent finished little project. Getting better each time I make one. Got a massive ball of brown Aran wool from Aldi yesterday and want to make my little one a cuddly toy dog, but I have one to finish first.
How the hell can Mr Tumble/Justin’s House be on every channel at all times of the day?! Does this scene look familiar to you? Rufus loves the guy and putting him on is the only way I can get any work done. I’ve a new and fulsome respect for homemakers as, unquestionably, looking after a little one is much more taxing than pursuing a career. These last three days – when I’ve been in sole charge of Rufus – I’ve had to accept that I’m not doing anything else and that that’s OK. Bringing up a nipper is a full-time job and the hour-and-a-half during his morning nap is to be used for washing clothes/dishes, tidying up toys/making baby food/arguing with British Gas. So whilst I loathe Tumble’s stupid voice and hate Justin’s theme tune, I also have a little party in my heart when I flick the telly on and there he is – helping me out with my son. Bad dad! #doitlikeadad#dadblogger#mrtumble#justinshouse#kidstv#baddad#househusband#housewife#homemaker#career#veggiebaby#vegetarian#toddler
" #ramadan is the month for giving." These are little packs we made for Nuha' s class at #nursery. They just had a little cupcake and a small pack of sultanas in them. I kept them really simple as I am just exhausted! Tbh I'm more in love with the outside of it than the inside. So she gave them out to her class and everyone really appreciated it. Her classmates come from all different backgrounds and is very diverse. Nuha being the only child, doesn't actually understand the concept of sharing her things yet. The most I'll get from her, is a piece of crisp from her crisp packet. And even then she's rather reluctant! The gift bags prompted a discussion on sharing and 'a little bit for Nuha and a little bit for someone else'. At first the concept was a bit alien to her, but it was nice to know that the nursery she attends used the Ramadan packs as a lesson on sharing too. It has opened her up to the idea of giving things and sharing. Nuha plays around other kids her age, not with them. She's much used to older kids in the family who spoil her, so it's such a wonderful moment when yesterday she let a little baby play with her Peppa Pig toy and came to tell me that she's sharing. She seemed really pleased with herself and it was a nice thing to see. #mbdailyposts#muslimparenting#toddler#sharing#ramadan#ramadan2018#muslimah#islam#1truepurpose#thismuslimmummy#motherhood
