The mountain was calling me, so I went to it. Now I know why. It showed me the birds were chirping, glacier river was flowing, and ice was melting, revealing this beautiful emerald green lake. So when the mountain calls you, go hike it, bike it, or climb it. Either way, you go to it. You will not regret it 🏔️🌊🌲💛
The first run feels... . When I first started running I never thought I'll be where I'm at today. I just wanted to finish a 5K, now running IS me. However, from the very beginning my motivation came from external sources (break-up, new shoes, medals, even PBs I consider external sources) and I knew those kind motivation will only bring me so far. I knew it from the beginning and I've been trying to find internal sources of motivation since. Now, I'm not saying that I have found new sources of motivation inside of me but oddly enough I'm slowly discovering thwm while I've been away from running and cycling. I don't think I'll ever find them all but that's a goal worth trying. For us, endurance athletes, it's the journey not the destination.
