If you know me, you know my love for my unpaper towels. I have 3 sets I rotate between, 4.5 years and still going! So lets talk paper towels for a minute. The average American goes through 2 rolls of paper towels a week. On Amazon, rolls ranged from $0.80 to over $3/roll. If you err on the inexpensive side, and go with $1/roll, times 52 weeks, you wind up spending $104 per year on paper towels. Now take into consideration the 10+ billion pounds of paper towels added to the trash each year in America. Thats a staggering amount of trash added to our already overfull landfills. Unpaper towels are not only better for our environment, 2 rolls would pay for themselves in a year, if not sooner, depending on usage. I have used the same 3 rolls for 4.5 years, saving myself over $400 in paper towels!!! Don’t get me wrong, I still keep a roll on hand for little people and furbaby bodily fluids, but I may buy 2 rolls every 2-3 months. Want to save money and our environment? Unpaper towels are the answer! $50/roll of 12 with snaps if you prefer using a roll holder, $40/roll of 12 without snaps. #unpapertowels#savetheearth#gogreen#zerowaste
Guess who's up at midnight cutting fabric into napkins? 🙊 yeap, ME. Hey, at least I won't be sewing them right now 😂 . . . Getting a little serious, though. I feel like napkins & water bottles are my biggest challenges. I CONSTANTLY wipe my mouth while I eat and it just feels ridiculously wasteful to use paper as it'll just end up in the trash anyway. I'm not too strict on my zero waste goals because, well, I'm human. Realistically speaking, Im bound to use paper & plastic throughout my life. My goal is to significantly REDUCE so that hopefully one day it'll just become second nature to me.
Anniversary pancakes for breakfast 🥞 celebrating 3 years with the Mr. today 💕 I call these middle of the road pancakes, because my husband and I have totally different tastes in pancakes. I like whole grain all the add ins and he likes the basic white plain Jane pancake. Here is how I do it: 👇🏻 2 cups flour ( 1 cup whole wheat 1 cup all purpose) 2 tbsp sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp cinnamon 2 cups milk (I use soy or coconut) 2 flax eggs ( 2 tbsp ground flax to 6 tbsp water, let sit in fridge for 15 minuets once mixed) 4 tbsp vegetable oil 2 tsp vanilla extract I always make my husbands first, once his are on the grittle I add in 1 banana and a handful of chocolate chips to the rest of the batter for my pancakes 😍 easy and yummy! #vegan#pancakes#unpapertowels#clothnapkins#breakfast#ecofriendly#motherofdane
