That dude in the purple shirt is Ssgt Gene Tabbot, US Army Air Corps. He was a C47 crew chief and flew in the China/Burma/India theater during WWII. The stories are insane. In. Sane. Honored to spend some time with him. #greatestgeneration#wwii#armyaircorps#c47#army#veteran
Sisterhood. A bond beyond time and space. Walking in #sovereignty, yet holding space in #solidarity. #sisterhood, a decision to make, every time again, that our path do depart. Knowing it is not about being the same, agreeing permanently or living in harmony all the time. Sisterhood is the #decision to help each other rise, to allow each other to enter the fullest #potential, to #embrace the light and power within and to bring it into the world. Sisterhood is the understanding that we need every woman to be able to show up fully. That the times of holding hands in common comisseration are over, that falling for the false trap of #victimhood in which we can bathe each other is not leading us anywhere, that focusing on the past will leave us stuck. Sisterhood is the #commitment to #honesty when it is asked, to #compassion that is reminding each of us of her own #power, to understand that the battle you might have fought never made you a #victim, yet a #veteran and that together we can rise above this. It is to understand we are all connected and I will not let you dwell in disempowering beliefs or conditioned perspectives. Sisterhood means to be committed to the new, to #creation, to the ones that will follow us. It means to be ready to walk the unpopular path in order to rise beyond #patriarchy. Sisterhood means I am willing for you to not like me, because I love you beyond that. It means to be devoted to the magical space of #transformation, even though it might be hard for you to step into it. Sisterhood is all of us. Connected. Women. Rising. TOGETHER. Here you see me with @nom.tsos on of my dearest sisters who did not only guide me into grand canyon, but also walked with me straight into the darkness, pushed me from the cliff when it was time and called me in again and again. Not caring what I think, yet knowing what I need.
16 years ago today I got off a bus and onto the yellow footprints of Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Paris Island, SC. From that day forward life has been anything but ordinary. It is through these experiences that we encourage everyone to get on their OWN FUCKING PROGRAM and make a legacy. #usmc#veteranownedbuisness#ofpwheels#whatprogramareyouon#veteran#nofilter (on the photo or my mouth!)
