😱💡 #repost @seloeureciclo • • • • • O problema do lixo é real. ⠀ #lixo#plasticocean#plastic#waste#lixozero#zerowaste#reciclagem#repense#logisitcareversa#economiacircular
. 23 June 2018 RECYCLING . Here on the East Coast our council gives us three (3) x 240 Litre colour coded bins for disposing of our rubbish. . GREEN for compostable food scraps & garden waste . . YELLOW for things that can be recycled like cardboard, glass, plastic bottles etc . . RED (the older bins have a dark green lid) for non-compostable, non-recyclable, non-re-usable rubbish. . . And if you are still confused, here is the rubbish/waste disposal guide. . . Our city & our citizens are on the right track for Sustainable living practices. . . #selfsufficiency#selfsustainability#homesteading#homesteadlife#livingthedream#selfsustainableliving#garbage#rubbish#waste#bins
You know when you walk around, anyplace really, and just find random @lego pieces lying on the ground? Be it in the park, the forest, by the road...Someplaces you find them may have children roaming around with Legos in their hands but others are just not that easily accessible. Maybe you are like a normal person so the randomly misplaced legos don't perplex you but to me it was a great mistery. But then we brought a dog home. We brought a dog into our Lego filled house. Now, the mistery of how random Legos which find their way around the world is finally solved. And if you ever happen to find a random Lego in the wild adopt it. It would be a shame to have that fabulous piece of plastic not ever decompose in the nature. Just wash it when you get home. #lego#legosinthewild#doggyduty#dogs#naturewalk#adoptstuff#toys#polution#waste#illiterati
careful cutting ✂️ . . At the risk of morphing completely into my grandmother half way through this sentence - waste not, want not! I'm always working hard to avoid the wastage which unfortunately can happen at every stage of design, production and consumption. From using recycled fabrics and quality textiles which last, to careful cutting and repurposing of scraps, to creating things which are functional and beautiful, which will be loved and worn and mended for years to come. Every little thing helps, and you should never underestimate your ability to get involved and make a difference.
Learning about worm farming...the future of waste management! Worm castings will compound the nutritional effects of the soil by making potassium and nitrogen more available for plants - it's better than cow manure in that sense (more effective) and an industry that is only just getting started in WA..set up a business and farm worms so people don't need to pay to get rid of their scraps and then buy fertiliser that the worms can give you for free (their castings called a leachate). They're easy to maintain and breed incredibly fast. And plant things in season - that way you will avoid pests and don't have to spray them with pesticides. Heathly plants with good soil conditions shouldn't attract many pests/disease - so if your plants are diseased it means you've got to work on the soil it's grown in and plant seasonally (plant things that are locally in season) !!! #gardening#worms#fox#vegetables#wormfarm#farming#compost#recycle#waste#environmentalism#activism#soil#veganism#organic#instaperth#conservation#activism#innovation#sustainability
