I meal prepped these Spicy Black Bean Burgers over the weekend to toss onto salads during the week as an easy protein option👌🏼I ate it over a bed of lettuce & mixed greens + shredded carrots + corn + feta cheese & craisins in a lemon/olive oil dressing Black Bean Burger: 1 can of black beans, rinsed & drained 1/2 small white onion, chopped 1/2 cup oat flour (or 3/4 cup oats grinded into flour) 1/3 cup of cilantro, chopped 1 1/2 tbsp cajun spice 1 small jalapeño, chopped salt & pepper to taste Mash the black beans. Combine everything together in a large bowl. Form into burgers (makes 4 palm sized burgers). Grill on a pan until brown on both sides. I store them uncooked in the freezer for up to 6 months.
As a mother our number one job in life is to take care of our children to keep them safe... I think of being brought to a place of fleeing, of escaping with my child, of hiding my own fear and repeating to them “I will keep you safe”. I think about them being ripped from my arms and held in a cage, scared and alone. Great yummy and healthy recipe!! #repost @livevitae with @get_repost ・・・ 433 Calorie Recipe Upgrading your Chicken Meal Prep - Before 👉🏼 After in 20 minutes with this Recipe 💥 —— 👉🏼 Breakdown: 433 Calories | Protein 44 | Carbs 17 Net Carbs 7.9 Fibre 9.7 | Fat 21 —— 👉🏼 Ingredients You will need ~ 3 medium courgettes / zucchini’s ~ 200 grams Medium vine tomatoes ~ 3 Pasture raised / Free range Chicken Breast (aprx 350 grams) ~ 2 medium avocados ~ 1 cup broccoli sprouts ~ Spices : Ginger + Turmeric + Black Pepper + Cumin Seeds —— 👉🏼 Recipe 1. In bowl add chicken and then spices. (Optional marinade here for 20mins with some lemon juice to protect against AGE’s) 2. Preheat Griddle pan to high & preheat oven to 180c 3. Slice then courgettes & grill either side till caramelised. Remove. 4. Add all the chicken breasts to the Griddle pan and leave for 3 Mins before turning over and repeating to other side. (The more you move and touch them the higher chances of them sticking to the pan. We want a crust aka mallard reaction here but not too much as excessive Charring is Not Optimal) 5. Add the pan to the oven and throw in the tomatoes & grilled courgettes. Leave in for 10 Mins until cooked through. 6. Slice up an avocado & wash the broccoli sprouts. 7. Plate up with the Veg first and meat then avocado & sprouts. I don't usually promote low carb products because carbs are not the big bad guys that they're made out to be and because low carb products can often be deceivingly high in calorie density!
