Finally we've done it! After a year of living in our RV, today we have disconnected from an RV park, with its water and electricity hookups and found ourselves here: in the wild. Surrounded by sunflowers, tall grass, and a massive lake front view (not pictured). #boondocking for the win! . . For those that aren't familiar with the term boondocking, it means completely self-contained camping. Only using your RV's on-board power, water tanks, and propane. It's a bit tricky to shift our way of living to this but we are up to the challenge. We just may not smell great as we conserve our water and stop showering for a week. 😂 . . One of the HUGE perks of boondocking is not only do you get to find locations that are usually less crowded and often more picturesque, it's also FREE! Well it can be if you find the free spots. (There's apps for that) A lot of state parks don't have hook-ups but charge a small nightly rate, that's practically free. We will be attempting to do a combo of both. We shall see... . . . . . . . #boondock#drycamping#wildcamping#rvlifestyle#offthegrid#nomadiclifestyle#idaho_insta #motorhomelife#getoutstayout#naturelovers#beautifulview#camperlife#sunflowers#wildflowerseason#sheisnotlost#homeiswhereyouparkit
“Like wildflowers, you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.” • Oh, to be a wildflower growing along Garden Wall... I’ve always said that if I were to be reincarnated, I would want to be a tree in Evolution Valley in the Eastern Sierras; but I’ve got to say, these wildflowers don’t have it so bad either!
