Last tasted over a year ago, we’re back with this 2015 Nebbiolo from @outofstepwineco from the Pyrenees in Victoria, with grapes sourced from the Malakoff Vineyard Super nose of cherry-berry, smokey spiced liquorice persists, didn’t notice mint on the nose previously, but getting it this time around. Palate hurls a bucket of burnt oranges, like unsweetened orange marmalade, delivering a tannic yet gentle numbing effect. Satisfying bitterness with a little squeak of fortified wine warmth through the finish. Great drinking at the price. Cheers!
Arnaud Ente Seve du Clos 2007 - Ripe, powerful, energetic and laden with stone and minerals. Complex and intense. Very yellow fruited, very young and with serious aging potential. Coche Dury Meursualt 2009 - Great example of why Coche remains the top Meursualt producer. In a challenging vintage, this wine came across as close to perfection for a village wine. Very very balanced. Acid and fruit, length and complexity, this had the typical Coche profile of ginger spice, popcorn and incense. Coche Dury Monthelie 2010 - Such a seductive floral profile on this. Red roses, sandalwood and pomegranate. Well balanced, very prominent red fruits. So so enjoyable today! The terrific threesome! 🔥💫🎖
