Perla Marina Brut Metodo Classico Feudo Ramaddini 📍Noto, Sicily, Italy 🇮🇹 100% Moscato Bianco di Noto 3/5🍇🍇🍇 Making Metodo Classico in southern Italy can be something really hard, specially when the warm weather does not allow for natural processes like happens in the champagne region. However technology and willingness to risk and take on new challenges can sometime result in something like Perla Marina, translated in Pearl from the Sea, a soft and smooth sparkling wine made with aromatic grape moscato, brought here from the nearby Greece well before Roman period. The color is a straw yellow with medium-large sized bubbles, not that frequent as in traditional metodo classico, but still persistent after several minutes. The nose expresses citrus, yellow apricot and white flowers. Minerality and acid backbone comes out once in the mouth, together with stronger almond, white peach and jasmine flavor, persistence is bit above average, but surprising if compared to other similar products from the region.
