So many ways to create a pose. So many ways to create a shape. So many perspectives. So many truths. . . We are all so different. . . You can not set certain expectations for other’s behaviors or reactions. They are not you. They do not think the same way as you. You can only offer advice or a different perspective. . . Not everything is on your control. #onlylove Played around with Jessica @thecocoayogi 📸: @damedwards

#teamsu I am honored to come back and share my journey with all the new aspiring engineering majors. I’ll be discussing my matriculation on the bluff as an engineering major, some major keys to how to make it in corporate once you graduate, financial literacy and more importantly what NOT to do. I’ve learned that one of the best ways to learn is from avoiding other people’s mistakes! #asme#stem#womeninengineering#blackgirlmagic
I’ve seen it over and over again. Transitions can be hard. Whether it’s from one job to another, one property owner to another, or from a development environment to production. There can be complications during transitions. But what I like about the word “transition” is that it acknowledges a movement (transit) from one place to another. When we stop moving, we stop growing. So for me, this transition into fall marks a reason to celebrate. We are moving forward into the final chapter of 2018 and there’s still time to set plans into action. What will you accomplish this fall? I’m here if you need an accountability partner.
I changed up my morning routine this semester and I love it! I've started getting up earlier and getting more done. I would highly recommend "My Morning Routine" to anyone looking to boost their productivity. 👩🏻🔬-Emily @michaelxander @benjaminspall #womeninengineering#college#reading#morningroutine
Elaine was PUMPED to go on a wastewater pump station tour with the Water and Environment Association of Ontario this morning. This is a motor for the one of the four dry pit (but still submersible) pumps. The station pumps whopping 1,290 L/s ! There are even bigger stations downstream from this one. Regional pump stations like this one collect wastewater through gravity sewers and then pump the sewage uphill to another point in the system where the flows can continue by gravity to the next pump station or until it finally reaches the wastewater treatment plant.
It was a pleasure chatting with tech entrepreneur and #bosslady Masha from @codingblonde on her YouTube channel about being a software developer! 🎙 There’s a constant stream of technology innovations and upgrades for tech products and software development tools being released. Masha and I discuss which innovations we like to stay up to date with and when not to get swept up in the hype over new tech. 🖥 We dive into some Q&A about the technologies I use and how I got into tech. I define what my job as a software developer is in the most simple terms possible, I offer advice to aspiring programmers, and we share our thoughts on the importance of user experience. 👩🏼💻 Have you watched our interview yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts! If not, you can find a link to the video in my story. And don’t forget to subscribe to @codingblonde’s YouTube channel!
