Late night Throwback Thursday:  I love this shirt so much I can't bear to part with it, but it's now so big on me, I can grab a hand full on either side and it's STILL not tight against my stomach.  I have to admit, when I started 80 Day Obsession in January, I expected similar results to what I got from #hammerandchisel. I did not expect to surpass those results in the first phase of 3. I didn't expect to break through the 190 floor again, I certainly didn't expect to be changing my goal weight to 160 because I'm starting a new nutrition program a mere 4lbs from my previous goal weight, and 160 DAY seems doable for the first time since 2003!  To be fair, I am NOT saying Hammer and Chisel doesn't work as well as 80 Day Obsession. The major difference in the two programs for me is this year I committed to STICK TO THE NUTRITION PLAN. I've heard and read that nutrition is more important than fitness in weight loss. I've even experienced it personally, losing 15lbs in 2011 without setting foot inside a gym and without starving myself. For the past 2+ years, I've exercised regularly, but eaten poorly and it seriously affected my results.  Now I'm learning how to control what goes in my mouth, to see food as fuel instead of a security blanket, and that I can even lose weight without the containers. I'm down almost 4lbs since starting this new program on Monday, and I feel completely sated after every meal. If I'm hungry, I eat real food in the right proportions and still lose weight! I exercise regularly and, because I'm eating healthy, I can not only feel my strength building, I'm starting to see definition through that layer of padding I've been carrying since shortly after my wedding.  #iambeachbody #2bmindset #blessedandobsessed #nutritioniskey #youcannotoutrunyourfork #tbt #throwbackthursday #betternatethanlever

Thankful for the friends I made while being a Beachbody Coach. I am still an active customer but not in business.  Thankful for my friend who is helping me, encouraging me and holding me accountable to my goals.  No more excuses.  Time to eat how I am supposed to, so I can fuel my body for everyday life and my POUND classes. I owe it to myself to be the most energetic fitness instructor I can be. And I want that sore of energy to come from the foods I eat everyday.  No more skipping meals No cheats until my b day Half my body weight in ounces of water  Time to meal plan, hopefully prep.... SO many people start an exercise program and do the workouts but don't really pay attention to what they are eating. You can bust your butt working out every day, but unless you are "All in" and follow a healthy meal plan then you WILL NOT see results!  Fitness is 20% exercise and 80% nutrition!  I used to think that was an exaggeration until I caught myself wondering why I wasn't seeing the results I had expected. Then I sat down and thought about what I was eating. One cheat meal here, some cocktails there, it all adds up people!  Plan your meals, stick to them, write down what you are eating! Hold yourself accountable or find someone that will! Don't cheat...because you are only cheating yourself! Why put in all that hard work if you are only going to mess it up in the kitchen?
